Media Rick Baker discusses Jack Pierce, pioneering Universal Monster make-up artist
Interesting piece from TCM where legendary special make-up effects creator/designer Rick Baker (known for An American Werewolf in London, Harry and the Hendersons, Hellboy, and so many more), discusses how inspirational earlier legend Jack Pierce (Frankenstein, Bride of Frankenstein, Son of Frankenstein, The Wolfman, The Mummy, The Man Who Laughs, etc.) was on his career.
I always appreciate it when a now-legend gives that tip of the hat to those that inspired them too. What an artist Jack Pierce was too, Conrad Veidt's smile as Gwynplaine in The Man Who Laughs (one of my all time favorite silent films) is so iconic, just one of many countless memorable looks he helped put on the silver screen.

Discussion One of the most eerie aspects of Nosferatu the Vampyre is the mysterious violin-playing boy. Jonathan Harker follows his music but cannot find him. He is later able to see the boy, indicating his journey into the world of phantoms.
