Mod Post Political Posts Going Forward.

There has been an influx of political posting leading up to the special election.

While voting is important and so is having your voice heard, the mod team has come to the conclusion yall can't behave. Personal insults, off topic shit slinging and bot like comments are what politics on this sub turn into, nothing about Clarksville.

Political posts will now be deleted or locked starting today.

Thanks.

News Neo-Nazi's in Clarksville? (United Youth)

Clarksville TT

I found a TikTok account called "Clarksville Youth Club"
They portray Neo-Nazi Imagery, hate speech, and Anti-semitism.

Learned more about the group by their telegram: They are affiliated with the "Active Club Movement" It's some Neo-Fascist movement about working out and beating each other up?

HUNDREDS OF GROUPS ALL OVER THE USA AND EUROPE

I estimate at least 300-1000 members of the "United Youth"
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/United_Youth_Clubs (More info on the group)
Clarksville might have tons of members; I'm not sure

5 times the "Clarksville cluster" has been metioned

They sticker, hike, put out flyers, and do "Meets"
They are all youth (I know, weird; I thought they were fed lol) but turns out they are youth-run. Very closely related to Patriot Front (Another white supremacist group that has guys in Clarksville)

Please be safe out there.
I just wanted to say this because its in our community.

Misc. Shout out to kind strangers

Shout out to kind strangers this afternoon. I was out on a run, biffed it SO hard on a random rock-scraped my knees, elbows and hand pretty good. To my complete embarrassment someone driving saw me and stopped to make sure I was ok and offered me a ride back which was so kind. They then gave me a sealed drink that they had in their truck to help since I was discombobulated. Thinking more on that moment, I am so thankful for random acts of kindness to whoever those kind gentleman were on 76 this afternoon!

Misc. Looking for friends

As the title says, I need friends.
I’ve lived here since June of last year, and have barely made any friends. Anyone that I’ve made friends with, we’ve either drifted apart, or they’re incredibly toxic.
I’m a 23 year old female and married.
I love cars, photography, nature, and just going out and exploring.
I have my own vehicle so I’m down to meet up anywhere.
Or I’m down to be on a Discord call and game.
I’m incredibly introverted and mainly just keep to myself, but I really just need friends instead of trying to spend all my time with my spouse

Visiting / Tourist Visiting Clarksville, where is everyone?

I'm currently visiting Clarksville over the weekend as I was wanting to scout around and see if it would be a decent place to live in the future. I decided to visit the Downtown area on Franklin street but there was literally no one there, it felt like a ghost town. On a Friday I was expecting more than 5-10 people over the span of an hour. Does it pick up more after 5pm? I'm not particularly looking for nightlife or anything because that's not for me but it just felt odd being in a downtown area with not a single soul around. Any input would be greatly appreciated!

Visiting / Tourist Art Galleries

My wife and I are looking to find wall art for our new home. Any places in town with local art for sale? We want to actively avoid mass market places. I don't know what to google to tell what is a gallery with pieces for sale as opposed to a museum type place without pieces for sale.

Thanks!

Question Army Veteran Considering Moving Back to the Clarksville/Fort Campbell Area. Looking for Neighborhood Advice

Hey everyone!

I'm considering relocating to the Clarksville, TN, area (2027) and wanted to get some honest feedback from people who currently live there.

I'm an Army veteran who served with the 101st Airborne Division at Fort Campbell in the early 2000s, including two deployments to Iraq. It's been quite a while since I've been in the area, and I'm sure a lot has changed over the years.

I'm now 100% VA Permanent & Total (P&T), and there's also a possibility I could work at Fort Campbell in the future. My daughter is in college now, so it's just my two dogs and me. I'm at a point in my life where I'm looking for a slower pace, some peace and quiet, and a place to settle down.

I've been browsing Zillow and noticed some two-bedroom houses with backyards listed around $175K–$225K, which caught my attention. Safety and having a backyard for my dogs are big priorities

I'd appreciate some local insight on a few things:

  1. Neighborhoods & Streets: What areas of Clarksville would you recommend for someone looking for a quiet, safe neighborhood? Are there particular streets or subdivisions worth checking out?
  2. Areas to Avoid: Are there any neighborhoods or sections of town you'd personally stay away from when buying a home?
  3. Fort Campbell Access: I'd prefer to be reasonably close to the installation, especially if I eventually find employment there. What areas offer a decent commute?
  4. Housing market: Is $175K–$225K a realistic budget for a decent two-bedroom house with a backyard, or should I adjust my expectations?
  5. Oak Grove, KY: I'm also considering Oak Grove because of its proximity to Fort Campbell. Would you recommend looking there as well?
  6. Quality of Life: For those who've lived in Clarksville for years, how has the area changed? Would you recommend it to someone returning after more than 20 years?

I'm not looking for nightlife or anything fancy. Just a comfortable little house, a backyard for my dogs, access to Fort Campbell, and a peaceful place to enjoy the next chapter of my life.

I appreciate any recommendations, especially from longtime residents and fellow veterans. Thanks in advance!

Question Anything fun happening in Clarksville for Halloween (Oct 26~Nov 1)?

Hey y'all! I'm 22M and still relatively new to Clarksville, so I'm trying to figure out what people around my age usually do for Halloween here lol.

Are there any Halloween parties, bar events, costume parties, or just fun things happening around town during Halloween week (Oct 26 to Nov 1)?

I'm down for pretty much anything social, especially somewhere I could meet new people and make some friends. I've been wanting to get out more and explore what Clarksville has to offer.

Would love some recommendations, or if anyone's planning something and wouldn't mind another person joining, let me know!

Surely there's gotta be something going on around here for Halloween ☠️.
