I'm open to suggestions for what to build on the island inside the old city. At first i thought of a park but i'm not so sure.
I would love to get insights and some comments about the city! Cheers.
For anyone curious:

Like I was trying to build something that feels a lot like Boston or European cities like Amsterdam or London, but because the game just starts you off with the highway stub before building anything else, I find it kind of hard to do that?
Like most of the cities I've been to have been gradually built from an old centre and expanded out over time, but in CS, I just feel like they want everything to be built at the same time?
Like when I did my rendition of Boston, I couldn't start with a port or a harbour, like you'd expect for a city that was built originally in the old days, with an old city centre and cobbled streets and stuff, I had to go from the highway stub. And I feel like the game limits natural growth in this way? Everything feels like post WW2 USA.

This is Port Merryn, the second town in my UK, kinda Cornish inspired, build.
Part I: the main county town of St. Piran is here.
Port Merryn is a small fishing and tourist town with a population of about 5,000. The oldest part of town is around the natural harbour, which still functions as the centre of the town's fishing industry.
There is a "newer" Victorian district around the railway station, post-war housing on the outskirts of town, and to the south, there is a small industrial port, with a passenger ferry service.
Built on the St. Angelo map. My next plan is to work on the surrounding countryside and coastlines, but very open to suggestions.

Hi everyone! I made a modern Subway restaurant for Cities: Skylines II – with an outdoor terrace, umbrellas and planters.
- Signature building (EU Commercial Low), 4x4
- Sells meals, gives XP
- Rear loading bay for delivery trucks
- Night lighting for sign and windows
- Optimized: 7,842 triangles, LOD1 3,340, LOD2 214
Paradox Mods: https://mods.paradoxplaza.com/mods/165147/Any
Feedback is very welcome!

been working on my map of madison for a couple weeks now and decided to take the last 5 days just working on the Monona Terrace, this is my first ever city in the game so thats why it took me 5 days just to do this one building but Im pretty proud of it, just wanted to show it off see if anyone recognizes this building
would also love some recommendations for buildings or mods I could add to my playset, Ive already got the Lark at Kohl building and the capitol building, might also share more pics with those included later if people are interested, would also be open to trying the multiplayer mod with someone on this project as its a slow process trying to get it done by myself

I never play with infinite money so the beginning of the game always starts the same with me, because of limited money. Couple of different area's for different needs to get monet started. Only after a looong time I can build the layout I want because of funds. How do I start without infinite money and still be able to make a 'pretty looking' city?

Forgive me if this seems like an obvious solution. I've only started playing Cities Skylines yesterday and I've been following a tutorial by ToadieZzz. I've been trying to reduce my traffic flow at the very entrance of my city. It seemed like it was perfectly fine for her, but for me it has not been working. I can't seem to figure out how to divide my roads correctly without seriously backing up traffic and making it look horrendously ugly. Apologies for the terrible photos.

Hi,
I'm new and currently learning how to make a city where there no traffic jam each junction.
So i learn about the basics of road hierarchy
I also learnt that they should be connected from up bottom, and avoiding to connect connector with highway or local road with arterial.
But in this Youtube video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iaLcR3hYt7U, the player connect every local road to arterial.
I have difficulties to understand when the rules apply at connecting roads. and he didn't really explained why.
