In case you need a tree no better option for the money BUT they sell out right after Halloween ends and everyone switches gear. 9 foot is $549 and has 3400 twinkling lights. Prettiest tree out there sub $900

Looking for better mounting solutions hanging 3 ft snowflakes and a Roofline Bethlehem star (without damaging shingles/trim)

Post image

This Year's Goal: clean safer install

- Hang 3 ft snowflakes under the soffit. Replacing the 20" ones.

- Mount the Star so it extends above the roofline.

What I’ve tried in past years (and why it didn't fully work):

Wedged a #2 pencil into the soffit vent gap and hung the snowflakes with a fishing line. The wind spun them at times, leaving them stuck sideways against the house.

Used magnetic hook pairs on the trim and wire to stop the spinning. It solved the spinning issue, but visually I hated seeing the exposed hooks. You can see them in this pic.

For the Star: Used shingle clips at two points near the center and anchored the bottom under the soffit. It held up okay, but I really want to avoid lifting/stressing the shingles to prevent long-term roof damage.

What I'm looking for:

Low-profile clip or hardware recommendations for gutters, soffits, or fascia board.

Tips for stabilizing large hanging snowflakes against wind so they stay facing forward without visible hardware. She didn't like the look on the vinyl siding.

Safe ways to mount a top star above the ridge/roofline without breaking shingle seals or drilling into the roof.

I have been researching artificial trees for two days now, and feel that I have analysis paralysis. I'm leaning toward this Balsam Hill Fraser Fir. Talk me into it OR out of it.

9 ft., unlit. Material: polyethylene terephthalate (PET), recycled polyethylene (rPE)

DAE collect Christmas Cookie Jars?

In general, when people think Christmas decorating- the mind goes to the tree, lights on the house, wreaths and all that wonderful stuff. For me, I specifically think of cookie jars! For some reason, specifically Christmas jars have a clutch on me because I don't care for non-seasonal ones.

I'm trying to be more intentional as I went on a buying spree the last few years, but my collection contains classic Santa, tree, Letters to Santa postal box, red truck with a tree, Santa in a train, Santa in a hot air balloon, different versions of Christmas Snoopy, snowmen, etc.

If anyone else collects, I'd love to know what you're thinking of adding this year or if you have any photos of your collections :)

Looking for toddler safe decoration ideas.

I very rarely get to see my grandbabies. I get one for a week in early December - he's two. I wanted to make it a bit of a Christmas wonderland for him, but don't want parents worrying about breaking any of the decorations or him getting hurt. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Real people reviews of the Grand Duchess tree from home depot?

We're in the market and I'm eyeing the slim version. I just want simple, pretty and lots of twinkle.

Open to other suggestions.

If you have the Grand Duchess, do you love it? Happy w the purchase or wish you bought something else?

Looking for advice on how to elevate this setup

Hi all! I started this 3 pencil tree setup for my dining room last year and i loved how it came out. It took me foreverrrrr to put all those fairy lights and I was kinda over it by the time I was done so I put my ornaments on and called it a day.

This yeah I’m starting much earlier (today!!) and I’m looking for some advice on tree toppers and what I can do at the base of the tree to make it look more intentional. I wont have any real presents under these trees, and I have cats that sometimes pee on cloth on the ground unfortunately so I don’t want just a tree skirt (we’ve been to the vet many times for this, no health issues, it’s just a behavior thing). Any ideas or feedback? I would love some advice!

I added 3 pics of the trees and then some extra pics of my other decorations to show the general vibe of my decorations. It’s all shiny tinsel and glitter.

Hanging train?

Does anyone know where I could get a train that hangs on the Christmas tree? I have a one year old who would probably turn into Godzilla if I use my train going around the base of the tree this year.

Added a flying Santa and new skating rink. As a bonus my old one mysteriously started working after 2 years of nothing. So I decided to make a Rudolph Skating Rink and make Rudolph and Clarice skating figures. 😁🎄🏘
