It is quite common in many games that while the player character progresses and falls in love. Has kids even. All the other single characters not chosen just stand still. Not in this game though. They actually fall in love and have kids of there own. It is fun seeing the other villagers interact and thier entire attention and life not revolving around the main character. I wish other games like this include that. However they still have to let you stop it from happening i guess so they don't force lock you out of your favorite bachelor or Bachelorette.
