That boot door opens vertically. How is it practical to add dead weight ? Also boot door is not manual. Adding extra weight to it is not practical

Under body is the easiest to use afaik, lifting a heavy wheel up to boot height seems very impractical

It's perfect, I've been searching the internet since sierra got launched just so atleast one madlad must've tried this wheel mount on the back, try this on green sierra with no wheel cover would look 🔥

The Ecosport my friend has the boot opening sideways. Not upwards.
It has the spare wheel mounted outside.

Looks better considering that there isn't much going on in the back side of the car in terms of design, even the rear lights are just straight line.

Because Tata has not provided a dedicated space to keep spare wheel (in EV, don’t know about ICE), this is the only option left if you want spare wheel in sierra.

That door opens like an hatch and wheels mounted on the back open sideways. Those door hinges will require replacement soon.

Convenience 💯
I have a Innova Crysta and it's had got stuck on highways like 3 times and opening stepney on it is a nightmare. So either in boot or this is the perfect way. Never on the underbody, it's very impractical. Unless you can lower the underbody stepney from above.

Whatever it is, it's not a real wheel. The car is has a hatchback. It can't bear the weight of a wheel.

There's a reason why they don't put spare wheel on upward opening boot doors. It makes the door very heavy. And if it is a powered door, then the motor will go kaput soon. Thar, Bolero, Ecosport, Endeavor....all have their spare wheels mounted on sideways opening boot doors.

This has a very clear purpose, looks aren't that important. And if also does look nice, big cars with flat backs without a spare wheel always looks so wrong.

Will this not create stress on the top hinges? I believe tail gate mounting spare wheel are always side hinged.

I quite like it
Problem with this is TATA in their infinite wisdom integrates the High mounted stop lamp into their light bar instead of the normal position at the top of the rear window. So this setup completely blocks it
