Cern Ceiling Restriction

Hi, I recently saw that applications from certain Associate Member States are not being approved due to quota limits. I had already applied for the 2026-3 Technical Student Programme last April and interviewed for four different positions. At that time, no such restriction was in place. The committee is set to meet in October, and I am wondering whether this restriction will affect my application as well. I do not know if I will be selected as the top candidate, but I certainly do not want this situation to negatively impact my application.

I think yes ,im not sure but chance are High, this quota restriction can unfortunately affect your application, even if you are selected as the top candidate by a supervisor.

I see ;( Thanks for your reply. In that case, I suppose the fact that the start date is after January 2027 doesn't affect the situation either.

You have absolutely no control over this, so whatever you want is irrelevant. I think quotas are evaluated after the hiring decisions have been made.
