Pocket Dump / EDC My New EDC
As soon as I get my CPL in Washington… Just picked up this FN Reflex what is everyone’s thoughts on it? I’ve put about a hundred rounds on it and enjoy the trigger pull feel 10/10.

Pocket Dump / EDC Psychedelic CCW
Just an example of how “Print Shirts” help hide your IWB carry of choice. I wear a lightweight canvas vest (seen in my left hand) to hide my carry gun fully, but even if I “flash” a peek it’s going to be hard for some casual observer to make sense of all that chaos & color.
S&W Scandium .38 J-frame
Clip Draw Belt clip
Horndy Critical Defense XTP 125 grn
Al Mar folder from the 1970’s labeled 044 of 200

Permits Costco bans CCW, sort of
Costco sort of mentions it doesn't allow CCW officially buried in the paperwork, but it won't put signage in the door because they don't want responsibilities that go along with that. They also don't want to advertise it's a gun free zone.
So what does one do? The police in my area can't carry off duty unless there is CCW support. The department could not afford to insure them for carry after hours. It can truly be a gun free zone.

Holsters & Belts Am I crazy for thinking is this unacceptable?
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
I recently bought a holster from Henry holsters and the thing has no retention. I emailed them and they sent me a video that basically said this is how the holster is supposed to work. No “click” when holstering the firearm and it falls right out of the holster. P365 axg legion totally clear with no mag. The gun is somewhat heavy so I can imagine how easily it would fall out with the mag

Training The Drill is less important than what you learn from doing the drill. Self critique/ Self Coaching required.
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
Video recording your practice sessions from multiple angles and being capable of self diagnosis will help you grow as a shooter. Invest in a timer and a tripod at a minimum. POV cameras and AI glasses are also useful.

Training What training do you think every new CCW permit holder should take?
I am right around the corner on completing my 3rd year as a CCW permit holder in NY. Ever since I had my permit in hand, I have gone to the range at least once a month for approximately an hour. I have also joined Glock Sports Shooting competitions...and to incorporate some movement, I have also joined a few USPSA practices matches. All of this has been to improve my safe handling of firearms, clearing malfunctions, and improve accuracy. With that said, there are still some trainings that I would like to take, like "Stop the Bleed", etc. So my question to you all is: What training do you think every new CCW permit holder should take?

Guns & Ammo Update: Second Bodyguard 2.0 is FUBARed

I'll update this post to see how they make it right. I requested a refund, which they at least seemed open to.
This is a follow up to my first post about my two problematic Bodyguard 2.0s: https://www.reddit.com/r/CCW/comments/1xc722u/run_away_from_smith_wesson_and_the_bodyguard_20/

Guns & Ammo Help With Damaged Shield Plus
galleryWhile I was out shooting on Saturday, I think my shield plus experienced either an over pressured round or an OOBD. I'm new to firearms so I'm not exactly sure. Thankfully I was ok and the explosion was not very dramatic. The brass had a failure to eject and was catastrophically destroyed. The magazine was damaged, and stuck very hard in the gun. Also, I think the feed ramp was bent. Again I am very new to firearms, so I dont know exactly how bad the damage is. Here's where I screwed up and was looking for advice. First issue, I lost the brass in the grass when I was trying to take it out. Second, I already took the stuck magazine out and third I bought some really cheap turkish (Ozkursan) ammo from bimart and dont have the box lot anymore. I understand that all of these things are working against me and my fault. I was wondering if there was anyway I could get some support from smith and wesson or am I just SOL
Legal Questions for Michigan CCers?
So I'm thinking of going to Michigan for personal reasons next year and wondering what carry laws should I be aware of, also wondering if what I plan to conceal carry will get me in trouble with a pro crime prosecutor?
My proposed loadout is
Gun: A stock Shield Plus no lights laser or optics, with the flush fit 10 with pinky extension for base carry and a 13 round back up.
Ammo: 115 gr Hornady critical defense.
Any help will be appreciated.

Guns & Ammo Settle this for me
Glock 23 or Glock 27? I have both. Gen 5s. I prefer to carry .40 sw but I think they’re comparable to the Glock 19 and Glock 26. I’m a pretty skinny guy so with hoodie season coming around, I was itching to carry around the 23 but MAN is it a brick to carry around. It’s more than 2 lbs fully loaded, hanging off my belt. The slight difference between carrying the 23 vs the 27 is very noticeable for me. Also, printing is still somewhat of an issue, even with a hoodie on. On range days, I definitely shoot better with the 23 and four fingers on the grip but the dangling pinky isn’t really an issue for me with the 27. It’s not less comfortable but my groups are a bit wider with the 27. I’ve been debating whether to sacrifice a bit of accuracy at distance for the comfort of concealing a smaller pistol. I don’t use a light or optic so that’s not really a factor. It’s also completely invisible under my hoodie which is nice. What do you guys think?

Clothing & Apparel Carrying while wearing a kilt?
I know this is a weird question but im bored at work so humor me lol. I’m curious if anyone has carried while wearing a kilt. I was thinking it could be possible if I use the Aegitec belt behind the kilt like I do with sweatpants, but that might create a bulge where the gun sits.

Guns & Ammo Bodyguard 2.0 First Shots
Purchased on sale from Cabela’s about a month ago. When I went to pick it up it wouldn’t lock back so I refused it. Luckily they had another one. I’ve dry fired it and racked the slide a bunch but didn’t get to the range until today.
150 rounds of Blazer and 20 rounds of Federal Punch ran without any malfunctions. Still working on my grip with it since it’s so small. And getting used to the trigger which is noticeably lighter than my Shield Plus. Got a blister on my support thumb from resting it on the takedown lever.
Overall I’m happy with it and seem to have gotten a good one. Need another range day or two before I’ll be comfortable with it I think.
Other Equipment CCW backpack for EDC
I recently bought the 20L urban ghost from vertex. Nice backpack but I need more space. It is smaller than I thought it was. Also, I don't like that it only has two compartments outside of the CCW compartment. I'm looking for something with a dedicated CCW compartment, and several other compartments, with admin organization also. I plan to use it as my primary work bag, it's primary location will be in the seat next to me while driving. Or next to my desk at my office. Ideally, inconspicuous. No tactical or molle look.

Guns & Ammo Question for LCP max EHG owners
What kydex pocket holster are you using? I plan to upgrade my original LCP to the max w/ Magpul EHG and I like to get my holsters in hand first. Put in my order for a Vedder pocket locker (love them for my og LCP) and then emailed them to make sure it would work since it didn't specifically say it, and they confirmed it will not work with the Magpul frame because it's slightly wider and they're not sure when they'll be offering a holster for it.

Holsters & Belts Big guy here searching for a shoulder rig with special request
6"3 tall big guy here. Wear 4x to 5x shirts. Wondering if there is an adjustable shoulder holster(looking for horizontal with retention button for mags and handgun)
The thing I'm trying to achieve is a not so tight fit under the armpits. I know it's whats best and desirable for concealment. I also know there has to be some shoulder rigs that are highly adjustable to loosen and sag or hang a bit.
Can anyone point me in the best direction (usa preferably) or if any pointers would be good. Thanks. I have a shoulder holster but its just too tight and a bit uncomfortable after sometime probably due to my size.

Guns & Ammo Has Kimber figured their stuff out already? Anyone have experience with the Micro .380?
Kimber suffered under Ron Cohen for quite some time, but have they normalized now? Is it back to being a legit company or still making crappy guns?
I ask about the micro .380 bc i like the way it looks, if i were to buy one it wouldn't be because i think it beats anything else, just think it looks neat.
