The most common recommendation was Saddleback by a long-shot. I saw it get recommended on pretty much every thread.

Two issues with Saddleback: It's thick and if you're not careful it will crack your cards. Both of these problems go away as it ages.

I don't consider big skinny wallets to be bifl. The credit card sleeves seem to stretch out.

Yeah I don't get this either. A lot of people put a lot of stuff in their leather wallets and it stretches. Eventually from wear and tear and stretching, it's going to go bad. I've found that a $30 leather wallet will last me about 5 years before something is off and I need to replace it.

I put it in there because It was recommended at least twice in the threads I checked (Specifically the threads where someone requested a thin wallet).

I'm happy with mine going on three years. No stretching I've seen. Actually looks like new still. Not sure how it'll hold up for life, but it would seem 5-10 years would be a reasonable minimum life.

Are all these made for American money? Because those wallets usually don't do well with my currency (SEK), the swedish bills are too tall. They range from 67 mm - 82 mm in height which make them stand out of the wallet. Does anyone know?

bellroy makes many wallets for european (taller) bills. I have a note sleeve and a travel wallet, both models support european bills.

I have a dynomighty, and the £20 note fits, just barely. It's 80mm in height.

Big Skinny also has "international" versions.

Swede here. I have the "BAD ASS MOTHERFUCKER" wallet from pulp fiction bought from teknikmagasinet. Swedish bills generally fit perfectly. Cost is 150 SEK and it's showing minimal wear and tear after three years.

I have a dosh wallet. I've had it for a few years now. Still functions just fine, but I wish I had washed it every time it got slightly dirty. Once the stains set in, there is no way in hell it's coming off.

Tanner goods makes excellent quality wallets. I've had mine for a year and it aged beautifully and doesn't look worn at all.

I'm pretty happy with my Saddleback wallet, had for almost 3 years

All ett are definitely not bifl. Threads regularly start to fray and fall out after a while. Nice thin wallets, but they typically last a year at most. Ymmv.

I have mine 8 years, just a couple of threads - but in essence still going strong. I'm 62 years old and as far as I am concerned it is the best I've ever had.

You guys are missing Chester Mox and Teranishi.

+1 for the Zippo Wallet. This thing is tough, RFID resistant, and is a sort of a conversation starter. Not that bringing attention to your wallet is a good thing.

Doesn't feel any different in your pocket than any other wallet.

I've recently received an Obstructures wallet that I am happy with. Yet to see how the O rings hold up (the wallet does ship with spares) but so far so good.

Your link appears to be broken.

EDIT: You fixed it, never mind.

I love my epicstoke wallet ($72). Its made of recycled billboard vinyl, had mine for almost a year, no complaints, love it. they have less expensive options made out of the same materials too, they're just a little smaller.

Thank you for compiling this. Phil's wallets look very enticing.

I've had a Saddleback medium bifold for about a year. Their customer support is amazing and I have no doubts this wallet will outlive my lifetime. However, its so fucking thick and burly I often find myself being annoyed with it. I can't practically have it in my rear pocket unless I am actually standing/walking, which occupies a very small portion of my waking hours... Having said that, it's pretty satisfying to slam it down on the table.

Time to try out Phil's?

One thing to be wary about regarding "slim" wallets with oversized card pockets like this allett or this flowfold: My experience with the allett was that cards could simply fall out. It wasn't as much of a problem if I kept it stuffed full, but I decided to stop using it after I eventually held it wrong and dumped half the contents of my wallet on the ground. A different material could make some impact, so maybe the flowfold doesn't suffer the same problem.

(Also, the allett's nylon made an annoying crinkling sound every time I opened it, which may or may not be important to you.)

Anyways, thanks for the compilation. I've been searching this sub for wallet suggests but I did manage to miss quite a few of those. Maybe I'll find something more affordable than the bellroy I had my eye on.

I'd love to see someone review this guy's handmade wallets:

http://www.leathergoodsconnection.com/mensbifold.html

I dig the photo's of this guys work and have seen his belts and wallets recommended places outside of this sub, but I'd be curious to hear a BIFLers opinion.
