I got a job!

I had to go through a shitty job centre employment course but I'm starting a new job as a croupier on Monday!

Go OP! I have two job interviews this week after months and months of no response at all. “Just” warehouse/factory work but my gosh am I psyched to possibly see the end of long term unemployment. 

Also, croupier? That’s an interesting job! I saw a Reddit post recently of someone who deals blackjack for company events and stuff, where there’s no real money involved, got me thinking that would be fun.

Thank you! I'm genuinely quite excited about it! Since the interview I've been watching lots of YouTube about the job and it looks really fun and (not to brag) I think I'll be good at it!

Don’t worry about bragging, you should be proud and you’ve got to back yourself in this life! Keep that confidence, it’s not the same as arrogance :) 

Do you play cards or anything currently or is it something you just fell into? Either way, not gonna lie, I’m kinda jealous!

Ive played a decent amount of poker (not for any real kind of money, the kind of game where 20p would be considered a large bet!)

Genting are going to be hiring more people for their new casino - if you're keen on the job check them out for the next round of hiring with will be in a couple of months

Aww well done you OP!! I'm also employed recently after long term unemployment and it's just the best thing. I will never ever judge anyone on welfare ever again, it fucking sucked (though I'm hugely grateful to the country for having the safety net for people who fall through the cracks, like I did)

Omg I know right like at one JC I was explaining to the guy how I dropped out of uni (depression and stuff) and he was just like 'lol y U drop out' I'm like um, and how did you even get this freakin' job anyways
