This film truly terrified me when I was a child, great storyline and characters, cast include Dana Andrews and Niall McGinnis.

Skeptical American psychologist Dr. John Holden travels to England to investigate a colleague's mysterious death. He clashes with cult leader Julian Karswell, who passes him a cursed runic parchment. Holden must race against time to pass the parchment back before a terrifying fire demon slays him

The ending is superb. Think its probably free on YT or somewhere, great film to watch on a cold October evening !

MoodDreams Review X BFI London Film Festival: Tropical Fractals by Leonardo Pirondi

Interview: Ivo Müller - Actor

A small crew of Brazilian archivists are tasked with preserving Earth’s final living remnants and their digital copies in preparation for the planet’s extinction, while a solitary figure wanders its desolate landscape. Elliptically structured, yet meticulously composed, Pirondi’s grainy Super 16mm images lend a tactile immediacy to this speculative world, imagining the future through the material textures of the present.

One of the funniest British films ever. Stellar cast, all acting brilliantly. Ian Carmichael, Terry Thomas, Alastair Sim, April Smith.

Love this scene where TT in classic cad mode steals the girl.

The boys receive some northern hospitality in the "Slaughtered Lamb" pub, awkward, then Brian Glover tells a joke. Love this movie, absolute classic.

My look at one of the most controversial comedies ever made, and a film once voted the second greatest British film of all time.

Been a huge fan of Shane Meadows since I discovered This is England. I have made my way through everything I could find and was excited for both The Virtues and The Gallows Pole. Once I heard he was filming a new movie I've been checking almost weekly for any info on Chork. All I can seem to find is that it has wrapped up and supposed to premiere this year, but we are getting close to the end of the year and I have heard nothing else. Anyone have an idea or different info on the project?

Hello I'm currently watching british films in batches and I came a across a movie named Zero (directed by Faye Gilbert), I tried to find it in BBC Iplayer but it just shows the airing that was last March 2026, is there any way to watch this like in Iplayer or any streaming platforms?

Behind the scenes footage of 24 Hour Party People being filmed in Manchester 25 years ago… including shots of the Morrissey character that was never used in the film. What do you think of the ‘Sex Pistols’? They look a bit old!

David Belbin is hosting a Q & A with Taghi Amirani & legendary film editor Walter Murch (The Godfather) about their fascinating film, Coup 53 at Broadway next week. How the UK & US brought down a left-wing Iranian president, a coup whose ramifications reverberate to this day.

Hello,

I wrote, directed and produced this film independently in London and as per the title I just released it.

The film follows a man called David J. Hitler, who has a problem. A pretty obvious one. Burdened by his notorious surname, he sets out to prove he’s a good person… but quickly discovers that redemption is a harder sell than infamy.

If you’d like to watch the trailer first, you can find it here: https://youtu.be/p0lE9VgXZJU

If anyone has the time to watch I’d appreciate any thoughts.

Cheers!

Not only was this the best sheep-based movie of the year (sorry, Hugh), it is probably the funniest new movie I've seen all year too. Once you're past the incredible detail Aardman apply to their work, the jokes just pile on. For me though it was the nods to countless horror movies, Michael Jackson and even The Wombles.

The fact I wasn't the only middle-aged lone cinemagoer there, and there were plenty of groups of all ages too, highlights how good StS really is.

Watching Get Carter for the first time in a long time: BBC iPlayer. I’m taken with how great the soundtrack is. I tried sampling it in my younger days but couldn’t get it to work.

What other British Film Soundtracks are worth a second (or first) listen?
