Spiced Apple Bread

Had some leftover spiced apples (apple, cinnamon, brown sugar) so incorporated them into a no-knead bread and baked. Lovely crispy crust, soft bread, and the warm flavour of cinnamon.

neat way to use up leftover apples. did they make the crumb a bit wet or did it bake out fine

I was afraid that it would, but it baked out fine. Not too much juice around the apples thankfully.

leftover apples are clearly wasted on just being apples. did the filling make the dough tricky to shape?

Not too bad. I stretched the dough into a rectangle, spread the apples, and rolled the dough to get some layers. I gave the rolled dough a 40-minute rest before baking.

The combo of crispy crust and spiced apples sounds unreal, definitely trying this next time I do no-knead
