She’s underweight and I hope to get that all squared away and get her proper soon. Vet appointment is set for Friday and I’m looking forward to their advice and physical.
Any boxer tips? I’ve read up on the breed but I’ll love hearing it from experienced owners.
Does she look like she is mixed with something else? I hope to get a DNA test soon just because I’m curious and I’m excited to learn everything about her! I’m already head over heels for this young lady.
She’s a little reserved but doesn’t seem nervous or scared right now. She loved sniffing around the house and putting her nose to work. After a long afternoon of smelling every square inch of the house and pointing out any dog-proofing I missed, she is now sleeping like a rock.
A couple of things that have me surprised- she is silent. I haven’t heard a bark growl or whine once. Additionally, she has zero interest in toys at all. I’ve got a Kong, treats, toys and a better bed all being shipped but it got delayed. Right now I’m only working with the stuffed toys and ball that came with my adoption bag. I’ve thrown the ball and wigged the stuffed animal and gotten no reaction at all. I know she’ll need time to settle and come out of her shell but I thought that was rather unusual since boxers are rather fond of their toys on this subreddit. She’s eating and coming up for pets without issue.
