With the new Wicked movie and various Broadway stars having their holiday concerts, more and more people are coming to this community. As great as that is, that also means an influx of “I’m a new collector” posts all of which ask for about the same video so please place all new collector requests in this thread and use the search feature. Maybe someone already asked for the video you want.

Friends, I am very graciously, humbly and kindly requesting that whenever an announcement post goes up in this sub and ESPECIALLY when said post is added to the featured section, that it is thoroughly read and followed. You are always welcome to comment and/or modmail if any clarification is needed!!

When it comes to bikinibottomday as a master, posts and/or comments are to be reported IF AND ONLY IF someone is making an attempt to trade any of this master’s recordings here on Reddit. (Ex: I have bikinibottomday’s to trade. DM me!) If the master’s name is mentioned in the context of sharing their rule regarding not trading via Reddit or that a user cannot trade here but can be contacted elsewhere to trade the recording (provided it is not NFT), then PLEASE DO NOT submit a report!! Otherwise, the mod queue gets flooded and monitoring the sub becomes much more difficult. I have made a post to this regard before that I hoped would clear up any confusion but this pattern has still continued. I don't want to have to further crack down on the sub’s security to where a post or comment can not even be published if the master is so much as mentioned but I will if I must.

For those of you who don't know me from other areas of the trading community, I am a full-time single mom working a part-time job. Yes, there are other mods here, but I willingly agreed to take this on as the head mod/primary mod (so to speak) because I care so much for the trading community and I want this sub to function properly both on a rule-following basis but also as a positive and friendly community where relationships can be developed. That can't happen without your help so please, let’s make this a smooth operation for everybody involved :)

Hi, friends!! I'm BroadwayGirl27, the new sub mod! I have released a couple of masters as BlueJeanBaby (which is also my Discord name so if you're in the trading community there, hey besties it's River going crazy with mod power again 🤣🤣) I'm happy to be here to help the owner run this sub with the good intent behind its creation ☺️

Needless to say, there has been... A lot... Happening around here lately. Two things I want to address: a ban in the subreddit and the way it's being run moving forward!!

Theatre_Jolly, the previous mod, has a terrible reputation within the community, to put it lightly so she is no longer a member of this sub and I would not recommend trading with her in any capacity.

When it comes to the sub, the owner and I are going to be keeping a close watch on things and having more in-depth moderation to be sure that the wishes of masters are being followed and the community can operate with respect and kindness!! Once things are ironed out, we’ll have a more formal pinned post so keep an eye out for that.

I would hope everybody here has a passion for theatre and its preservation and is here to thrive in the hobby!! If you have any questions, please either reach out through mod mail or feel free to contact me directly 💞

Hi, friends! I wanted to come in to address something I've been catching going on in the comments on several posts lately.

We do not allow any posting of YouTube links as a very large majority of the time, they have been posted without the permission of the master and/or are not of the original quality in which they were filmed. (There are scenarios where people post directly to YouTube and in a case such as that, the rule does not apply.)

Masters give lots of time and money to filming and releasing and they deserve the proper respect and appreciation for doing so. I do my best to monitor things as I see them but I am one person and there are many of you, so please feel free to report if you come across a post or comment that has a link! I want this sub to continue on in the safest way for this community <3

Quick note to say there will be some changes coming to the sub now that we have become the default place to go with r/MusicalBootlegs being more or less inactive. I’m working on formalizing rules and sub resources and all that fun stuff but here is the key distinction for now:

While this was originally intended as a sub purely for gifting, it is now alright to trade with other members!!

Also, I may be looking for some people to help me out with running the community, so start thinking about if that’s something you would be interested in :) (No experience necessary!)
