Just realized we've got an awful schedule for early injuries, 12 of our next 14 are against teams that just made the playoffs...

Why does it always seem like every year early on we play like 3-4 games fewer through the first month or so than everyone else? I don't get why we've played 6 games and everyone else like 8-10

7 points in 7 games and a period. looks to be fitting right in. hockeystatcards has him rated as the 3rd most productive forward so far on the leafs.
meanwhile, knies has been absolutely invisible aside from the home opener. in terms of shot attempts, there’s been 13 players on our team take more. ryan lomberg has nearly double Knies’ shot total. heck; there’s only two forwards on our entire team to have taken less shots… voronkov and garland.
and before anyone says “he needs time to produce and click with his new teammates” so does marchenko but it would be naive to say that Knies is fitting in as well with us as Marchy has fit in with the leafs. now I will say, marchenko is playing with much better players in terms of forwards group but yeah. I’ll give knies a solid C+ so far this season.
maybe monahan can get him going? who knows. we’re about to find out.

I'm not sure why this is surprising, we gave up the better player. It was always going to be like this I doubt anyone expected any different

I mean it’s absolutely surprising to see Knies with only 10 shot attempts and ryan f’n lomberg nearly doubling that total.

True, but a majority (10) of Lombergs total shot attempts were low-danger. Knies on the other hand has 2 high danger and 6 medium danger shots, he's not the type of player to throw the puck on the net so he's not going to rack up a huge amount of shot attempts

Hey so my wife and I are going to Nationwide for the game on Tuesday. I’m from Toronto originally and I’m a leafs fan, I know I know.
Anything we should know about outside food policy etc?
