Week in wildlife: a bookworm bear, an angelic spider and a bald hedgehog

Still find it incredible that you can come across bears along the Transfăgărășan. Managed to get this photo from the car while keeping a safe distance. Such beautiful animals, but definitely best admired from afar.

I'm a wildlife artist. These sketches are mostly to learn and study the bear's anatomy, as well as to test a few different poses for an upcoming larger artwork. Thought you might like seeing a bit of the 'behind the scenes'

Hey bear fans!

Thought you’d appreciate this reel I made.

I work as a bear guide out in the remote bays of Katmai, and with Fat Bear Week here, I couldn't resist giving our off-grid heavyweights like Goldilocks some love while Brooks Falls gets all the webcam spotlight. Hope it brings a laugh! 🐻
