I new ro Bayonets. I picked up a Swedish M96. It is chrome finished and in great condition so I assume it is a ceremonial issue. I have attached photos of the bayonet and its proof marks. Any info anyone can give is helpful such as year of manufacture, maker, is it common or scarce?

my current collection, each one for the rifles I own

Hello Everyone!

Does this "Eagle" say when exactly this bayonet was made?

Was it added in the factory, or later - e.g.: during re-entry to service, etc?

Thanks in advance for any insights!

I can only make out a C stamp, possible ww1 bayonet for Canadia?

Here’s one you never see.

This thing is gigantic.this is pictured next to a number 4 mk 2 spike bayonet.im going to research it a bit more and see what comes up

Been out of work for three months my kid and I need some funds would anyone be interested in buying ww1 Prussian bayos 2 are dull one is sharp with sheath

The product I'm talking about is the Universal Bayonet Mount from APG Defense. It claims that it can attach to "a Picatinny rail with at least three available slots." Has anyone here actually used this, and if they have, does it work and stand up to hard use?

NOTE TO THE MODS: I have nothing to do with the manufacturer of this product and have no intention of promoting it with this post.

This will hopefully be arriving on Friday >.>

I have a couple rare ones you might like!

Pictured here...numbered from left to right...

- Swiss "Ring Plug" bayonet for Dragoons [1, far left]

- P1871 [2 & 7. Pretty sure both are.]

- Jacob rifle bayonets (Heavy & Light types) [3 & 5; ornate guards]

- Norwegian M1848 Krigskolen yataghan [6, middle]

-P1859 Naval Cutlass bayonet (both Mk. 1 & 2) [8 & 9]

- English volunteer sword bayonet (c. 1795) [9 & 10]

- P1855 Lancaster bayonets (x2) [far right]

What bayonet was this exactly?
(Don’t mind the home-made grips, it wasn’t me I promise ;)

Hello r/bayonets!

I bought this along with other bayonet remains, and I am interested if this piece was a bayonet too.

Ps.: yeah, the background is messy haha

Found this under the stairs of my new place. Lots of surface rust on the scabbard (blued), but the blade has only minor rust as it appears someone filled the scabbard with cosmoline and stuffed the blade in. The pommel has also been filled with lead to change the balance point. Would (carefully) going nuts on it with wd-40 and 0000 steel wool damage the historic/collectible value for the next person (these don't seem especially valuable as it is) or should I restore/conserve it to keep it from rusting further? If I do remove the rust from the scabbard and handle is it worth re-bluing using a brownells kit to keep it from re-rusting do more harm than good? Is it worth removing the lead? How is the balance on these without extra weight in the pommel?

Did you know more about these?

Since we are bringing up cool, interesting and rare pieces. I wanted to show thisnone from VHU collection on display in Prague.

Not much further information on it besides late 17th century estimation. Not sure to which kingdom or.state this one belonged but most likely centeal Europe origin. Maybye someone can recognise the pattern of the musket.

rare m10 "red thread" scabbard..

This is about the rarest military scabbard there is, only about 1,000 were produced in 1998.
