Is anyone missing a kitten?

Post image
20 Upvotes

She's hanging around my house by the Dudley School. She's shown up two nights in a row now. She has a collar but there's no tag on it. She's very friendly and playful and let me show her where she can stay overnight. I can't bring her inside since I have two giant boy cats that I rescued who were also in her situation once. I have well lit shelters with cameras, food, fresh water, insulated beds, cat toys, and catnip so her and the strays all have a place to go but she needs to go back home where she's safer.

19 Year Old Content Creator, Gamer, And Editor. I Love Philosophy And Write Aphorisms And Poetry. From Branch County Looking For Friends Online And In Person

Hello everyone, I'm Alex. I am a 19 year old guy from Bronson in Branch County. I stay pretty busy working as an Amazon delivery driver and doing freelance video editing. I am also a content creator, and I really love philosophy and writing. I want to make some friends to actually hang out with in person; however, doing things exclusively in person is impractical because majorly populated areas with a lot of stuff to do are pretty far away from me. I am totally fine with hanging out online playing PC games since that is what I have always done. I am just looking for a good balance of both. I know driving out to places like Kalamazoo, Portage, Battle Creek, or Coldwater takes a while and gas is expensive, but I am down to make the trip if we click and it is worth it. If anyone is around those areas and wants to hang out online or in person, send me a dm.

Res-Les Farms

I got married at Res-Les Farms and had a nightmare of a venue. I was nice and complacent during the time because he definitely is a person who will lock up his venue the morning of and not let you get married out of spite. He locked up rooms that were supposed to be available per our contract because… I have no idea why. There have been some recent brides and vendors who have expressed concern which made me feel comfortable enough to share my experience.

The contract you sign is not the contract he makes you follow. You sign a contract a year and a half in advance and everything seems fine then he says he verbally tells you all these additional rules a week before your wedding but no one has any recollection of it. This ensures you are bullied into following his made up rules because at the end of the day what a bride and groom want is to get married. He will not give you a copy of these rules but will yell and insult you and belittle you about them. He will not give you the Wi-Fi code for your DJ, your planner or your Photo Booth. If you’re getting married in August, September, or October, he mood for the weekend will depend on whether or not he wins his football game.

The owner has cameras in all of his rooms except the bathroom and dressing rooms. Obviously in a wedding since there’s a lot of people that need to change and the girls get ready. Room is small. And there’s nowhere to hang up your wedding dress. He offers up other rooms for additional dressing room space but does not tell you until your final walk-through there are cameras in his extra dressing room spaces. Then proceeds to make jokes about how you can still change in that room because he’s not a pervert. Periodically, you would see the blue light go on in those rooms when people were in there. It was super creepy.

He will also bring people to your reception like his kids or his friends and cause a scene or drink from your bar because ‘he’s the owner and he can do what he wants’.

He bashed and insulted other couples during our walk-through and set up. He is extremely inflexible while advertising a versatile Wedding space. The contract says that you have access to all venue spaces from 12 PM Friday to 12 PM Sunday with no time restrictions but when you show up at noon on Friday he will give you times you have to be out and times you have to be there in the morning as well as areas and rooms he will physically block with tables and padlocks.

My husband and I put so much time and money and thought into our wedding to have to essentially restart the day before. None of our vendors said they will return and I hope future couples really consider the manipulation behind the contract.

10/21 Heavy Smoke

Any idea what the large amount of smoke around Battle Creek sometime around 11am was from? I've looked everywhere and can't find anything about a fire or even anyone else saying anything about it. We drove through on 94 and visibility was less than a quarter mile, but on the way back around 3pm it was basically gone.

Bronson EVS

Has anyone recently worked for Bronson housekeeping? I just got the call today that I got the job ( I currently EVS for a different hospital out of town) but curious how BBC is. I’ve heard the nurses are rude with terrible bedside manner and that the area is dangerous BUT I’ve also heard benefits are decent (better where I am apparently)

Anyways I’m having a hard time deciding if I should stay or go so any insight would be appreciated.

Bring Tonies to Bronson Children's Hospital Fundraiser

Imagine a device without a screen that can captivate a child the same way their screened devices do while simultaneously promoting education, song and dance, imaginative play, and a distraction from scary hospital visits.

The device I'm talking about is called a Tonie Box.

My name is Toby Powers, long term resident of Kalamazoo County, and I was first introduced to Tonies when my 4 year old brother received his own. Seeing the way his face lit up after placing his Lightning McQueen Tonies character on the box and recognizing the songs from the movie has me thinking about how positively impactful these devices could be to the sick and injured kids in our community who are treated at Bronson Children's Hospital.

I've already sent an email asking about this to Bronson, and the response is that they're very eager to receive Tonies for their pediatric patients to use!

I believe a hospital experience for a child with a Tonie box to hear stories from, sing and dance to songs, play games to pass the time, and hear encouraging words from their favorite characters and celebrities could make a huge positive impact on the psyche of children facing tough situations in hospital.

Tonies are becoming a popular household name in children's entertainment, but not every family can afford to provide their child(ren) with one, especially families facing unexpected medical bills. I believe every child should get to experience the magic of Tonies, especially those who are sick and/or injured.

I would love to raise enough through this fundraiser to donate at least 3 Tonie Box 2 bundles to the Hospital. Each Tonie Box 2 bundle is about $200, so I'm setting the goal of this fundraiser at $600.

I hope you'll join me in a community effort to provide some of the unfortunate children in our community the chance to experience the magic that are Tonies.

With enough support, we can make this happen. Every dollar counts, and I am choosing to fundraise through Kindbee to avoid GoFundMe fees. I believe every penny you choose to donate should go towards the cause, not a wealthy corporation.

Thank you Tonies US for creating such an amazing device for children. (Not endorsed)

Thank you Kindbee for your free fundraising platform.

Thank you to the staff at Bronson Children's who care for our children.

Thank YOU for donating and/or sharing this fundraiser to make this dream a reality.

We are also able to accept physical donations of Tonies, but per hospital rules, these items must be brand new in packaging. Please contact me if you have a physical donation to make and I will get back to you ASAP 🙏

Bill Burr

Me and my wife have 4 tickets to see Bill Burr tonight. We had two people skip out so we have two tickets available, they were $160 each, and I’ll sell them for 150 each, so 300 total.
The tickets are digital and haven’t arrived yet, so you would have to be okay with meeting us at Firekeepers Casino. That way we’re right there to scan you in when you pay and you don’t have to worry that the tickets are fake.

A teacher

So is it okay for a teacher at a middle school in the battle creek district to call kids in his class "assholes" I mean I obviously know the answer but why is it being allowed? I have heard multiple stories from my kid about this. Apparently, it was deserved but this teacher is trying to get fired.
