Solo parenting in the CBD

I’m looking for ideas for things to do in the CBD with my 10-month-old while my husband is out of town. I’m not from here, and my usual go-to time wasters like the park or swimming might not be ideal with the weather.
Needs to be within walking distance of the CBD, but I’m not fussed about how much it costs. Happy with anything baby-friendly that’ll help us fill a few hours!

Bear Flat Parking

Looking to move to Bear Flat I wanted to see/ask if anyone knew what the parking was like for residents. Is it a pain and can spend a while looking for a spot or is it a pain but can find a space relatively close to your place?

What would be the best way to get to the station in the early morning?

• Upvotes

I'm a student at University of Bath, and I have a train in a few days at 5.40am to London Paddington, which I need to get on before my onward flight from Heathrow. What would be the best way to get from the campus to the station at that time? I think my options are either pre-ordering an Uber or catching the U3, but both have pros and cons.

My concern is that my Uber won't show up because it's so early, which would mean I might miss my train etc. But I'm flexible with the time I can book it.

The U3 is running, but I can only either leave at 4.40 am or 5.15am, with the 4.40 getting me to the station a bit too early, and the 5.15 cutting it quite close for time.

Any suggestions or alternative options?

Thanks

This might be a long shot but I'm looking for lessons to learn conversational Vietnamese in the Bath area. If anyone has any recommendations or is able to offer lessons themselves, I would be greatly appreciative!

Sunday evening - thjngs to do

Visiting Bath Sunday-Monday, has anybody got any good suggestions for evening entertainment?

Doesn't look like theatre or (comedy) shows on - seen a few bars suggested but not huge drinker nowadays.

Everyman Cinema potentially is+f all fails.

Anything fun/entertaining - open to suggestions

(2x 30 somethings - first night away from new baby for a year - staying central)
