Hey everyone!
I'm planning to buy the 2026 Bajaj Pulsar N160 SS (4V) and want to keep it for at least 5β7 years.
However, after researching owner reviews, I've come across complaints about:
\- TFT lag, Bluetooth and navigation issues
\- Engine ticking noises and vibrations
\- Cold-start stalling and occasional engine shutdowns
\- Oil leakage and low mileage (30β35 km/l)
\- Build quality and after-sales service
I know these issues might not affect every bike, but I'm concerned about long-term reliability and maintenance costs.
To N160 SS owners: Have you faced any of these issues? How many kilometres have you ridden? Would you still recommend buying it?
Also, anyone familiar with Bajaj engines or long-term ownership, do you think this new 4V model is a good choice for 5+ years?
Please share genuine experiences, both positive and negative. I want to make an informed decision before spending my money.
Thanks!

Hey everyone,
I own a 2020 Bajaj Dominar 400 BS6, and I'm facing two issues with my bike.
**Unusual engine noise:**
When I rev the bike in neutral, there's no noise at idle, but around 1,500β2,000 RPM, I hear a high-pitched squeaking sound similar to a mouse squeaking. It seems to come from the left side of the engine.
**Bike shutting off at high RPM**:
When I take the bike close to the redline, the entire bike shuts off, including the instrument cluster and ignition. It doesn't turn back on immediately; I have to wait before it powers up again. There are no warning lights beforehand.
Could this be an electrical issue, a timing chain/tensioner problem, or something else?
Has anyone experienced similar symptoms on their bike.

Hi everyone,
I recently bought a Bajaj Pulsar N250. When I accelerate in 3rd gear and the RPM is around 3,000β4,000, I can feel slight vibrations in the handlebar.
I previously rode a 150cc bike, so I understand that the engine characteristics might be different on a 250cc bike. However, I havenβt noticed this kind of vibration on some other bikes Iβve ridden.
I discussed this with the service centre guys, but they keep telling me itβs normal for a 250cc bike. Iβm not entirely convinced, but they have rode my bike 2 times and claimed that there is no issue.
I completed my first serving a week ago

Title: Bajaj Pulsar N160 giving only 33 km/l in city traffic. Is this normal, or is something wrong with my bike?
Hey everyone,
I own a Bajaj Pulsar N160,second owner, and I'm trying to figure out why my bike's mileage seems lower than expected.
I'm getting around 33 km/l, mainly in city traffic. Around 60% of my riding is in traffic, and I usually ride at speeds of 40β65 km/h.
I've heard other N160 owners report mileage of around 40β45 km/l, so I'm wondering whether my mileage is normal for my riding conditions or whether something is wrong.
I've already tried several things, including checking the usual maintenance items and cleaning the O2 sensor, but I'm still concerned about the fuel economy.
I'm wondering whether the problem could be related to the fuel injection system, sensors, or something else. I also want to rule out the possibility that the bike's mileage display is inaccurate.
A few questions for N160 owners:
How much mileage do you actually get in city traffic, not on highways?
Is 33 km/l reasonable for city riding with frequent traffic?
If you've experienced low mileage, what was the actual cause?
Can a faulty sensor or fuel injector cause this, even if there is no check-engine warning?
Is the dashboard mileage reading generally accurate, or should I rely on the full-tank method?
I'd appreciate responses from people who own or have owned the N160, especially those who have dealt with a similar mileage issue.
Thanks!

It's been 1 month since I brought this machine 1st service is done today taking for 2nd service. But I'm facing this problem during cold start even after riding the bike for 30-40km when I start the bike it stalls. The showroom guy last time said this is because of e20 and suggest to add a fule system cleaner on second service. What could be the problem in new to all this. Please can anyone explain me that's going on here ?
I also get relatively low mileage i.e 35-40
is it normal i don't aggressively give throttle to bike inside between 4-6k rpm on Highways

Hey, My Bike is second-hand. Company says 10W30, change interval every 10,000 km (lol).
Company-serviced till 30,200 km β no idea what oil they used before that. After I got it, I switched to Motul 3100 Gold 10W30 semi-synthetic.
Now at 71,500 km.
Should I switch to fully synthetic now, or stick with semi-synthetic?
Which Brand (Servo or Motul or Castrol) is good and suggest me the correct model (ex: Motul 3100 gold 10w30)

Hey everyone,
I recently ordered a BCU (Body Control Unit) for my Bajaj Pulsar from 99RPM, costing βΉ2,383.
Unfortunately, the BCU wasn't compatible with my bike, so I contacted their customer support and successfully returned the product.
However, instead of refunding the amount to my original payment method or bank account, 99RPM credited the amount as store credits, which can only be used to purchase products on their website.
I now have 2,049rs as store credit(They took some amount as restocking fee).
I don't have anything else to buy from 99RPM, so the store credits are pretty much useless to me right now.
I'm wondering if anyone here is planning to purchase something from 99RPM. If you are, I could place the order for you using my store credits, and you could transfer the equivalent amount to my bank account. That way, you get the product you need, and I can recover the money stuck in my store credits.
Of course, we'd discuss the details beforehand and make sure both parties are comfortable with the arrangement.
If anyone is interested, please comment below or DM me.
I'd also appreciate any suggestions if someone has successfully managed to get a refund from 99RPM store credits to their original payment method.
Thanks for reading, and any help would be appreciated! π
