Hey everyone!

As you guys know, I went back to school to pursue my Master’s in English as a way to pivot and further my career. This semester, I took a Creative Writing class, and I had so much fun with it by writing pieces about Jela from BGC and Baddies as a creative outlet and a way to practice my writing. I really appreciate everyone who took the time to read my work and provide feedback throughout this journey. I’m happy to officially announce that my semester has come to an end, and I passed the class!

I know I previously said that I would stop writing poems about Jela and unstan her because of how problematic she has been. However, with the recent news that she is pregnant, it made me reflect a little. While I no longer stan her, 12 years is a long time, and despite everything, I genuinely wish her the best and hope this new chapter of her life brings her happiness. So, with that said, I present what I’m considering my final piece.

Title: Recover

The guilt kept chipping away at me,
But I looked the other way to keep the peace,
Until I realized that staying silent
Was costing me my own integrity.

And I miss the Jela from BGC 14,
The girl I thought I'd always stan, my true queen.

I still hope life gives you a second chance,
Because I miss you, Jela. And even stanned you.

I tried so hard to stan you for twelve years,
Through all the highs, the drama, and the tears.

And I had to choose my integrity.

And finally chose my sanity.
