Announcement Rule change: No AI-generated art (Rule 5)
While human-made art is both welcomed and encouraged, AI art generation tools are becoming increasingly accessible to everyone. AI-generated art requires little to no effort to create and it can easily overrun a subreddit. Going forward it will no longer be allowed. Please use the report button if you see any.
EDIT: This has been expanded to include all AI content, as reflected in our rules.

Doc’s missing adventures
So we know that Doc did some time traveling on his own apart from what we saw in the trilogy of movies.
Sometimes I think about that and how I really wish we had a book series or maybe a long form, graphic novel or two depicting in detail everything we missed out on as viewers of the films with Doc’s missing adventures.
Specifically, between when he dropped Marty off in the driveway at the end of the first movie… and when he came back the next day and knocked the garbage can over. We know he did a good amount of time traveling into the future beyond October 21, 2015, he mentioned that.
It’s funny how that one line of dialogue about how he had gone further ahead into time to see what else happened with the McFly family and backtracked everything to the hover board incident can open the door for so many potential stories to be told for what all could have happened.
The other thing I often wonder about is the details of everything that happened between when Doc was struck by lightning at the end of part two and when we see him again with his modified shotgun the beginning of part three.
We know he had established a new life for himself in 1885 as a blacksmith after he arrived, but beyond that we know nothing about the details of what took place. Presumably there would have been no time traveling adventures through all that, but then again…who knows?
Anyway, I wish someone could pitch these two ideas to Bob Gale since he likes to write stories about these characters in various comics and books and what not. I’m still trying to get my hands on volume one and volume two of “the heavy collection“ books since I missed out on all those comics.
I would love to read them and see what kind of stories Bob gave us with these characters which…as far as I know, are considered canon with the movies.

Got the opportunity to shoot some pics with a replica Delorean.
Decided to dress up as Marty for Halloween this year. There is a guy in my hometown who builds replicas. Got his contact info and asked if I could shoot some pics with his car. Back to the future is my favorite movie and this was truly a once in a lifetime experience for me!

Great Scott! I found time machines at Future Flux Fest 2026.
The legendary JCPenney lot where Doc Brown tests the Time Machine, Marty hits 88 mph and goes back in time was fenced off by the new owners of Twin Pines/Lone Pine Mall, aka Puente Hills Mall, aka proposed data center. So, Future Flux Fest was held nearby at GamePoint. We found replica time machines, Doc's truck, Marty's truck and a few other movie and television vehicles, BTTF merchandise.
Also caught a glimpse of a few cast members including Lea Thompson (Lorraine Banes McFly). Though, we didn't wait in line for autographs we had a great time.

[Hot take] If Marty got to the Twin Pines Mall on time, the entire series would have been wrapped in a single movie.

Apart from sound effects popping up elsewhere, there's also several homages to the films in anime as well
1: Reference to the first film in Laid-Back Camp
2: Reference to the movie poster in the ending of Himitsu no Akko-chan
3: An almost shot-for-shot bit in DanDaDan, which I'll put a link to at the end of this post
4: Chuck Thorndyke from Sonic X [he doesn't only look like Doc, he's also a scientist and inventor like Doc]
There are others out there, but I can't get them because the video's either behind a paywall or the video simply doesn't exist on the internet
Here's the link to the BTTF homage in DanDaDan that I said I'd put here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h0RqlveE__4

Hi all sorry if this has already been asked. I dont want to google just in case ai picks up the wrong things but has anyone asked (or knows of an article) Robert Zemekis about that specific date? Is it a significant date to him is basically what I am asking :)
Thank you in advance

Future Flux Fest
Today my family and I had a wonderful time at the event in City of industry. We had a chance to meet and get autographs from Claudia Wells and Lea Thompson. I was able to add two more signatures to my DeLorean.

Timeline Question
This is just something I thought about and felt like this was the best place to discuss it, and I could’ve just missed an important detail, but wouldn’t Marty’s original timeline be the alternate present we see when he comes back from 1955? Since he time traveled and messed with the past which created the alternate present/timeline but wouldn’t it have always been that way considering how time travel works?

Plutonium storage case
Another piece for my collection. Took an old battered flight case, lots of sanding masking and spraying.
Bought a riveting kit to apply some additional handles.
Created the sticker artwork based on some images I found online and voila!
I think the dimensions are slightly off but for £40 for the box, £20 on materials plus a £20 riveting kit I’m pretty happy.

Ok I just had a wild revelation.
So Back to the Future part 1: in the mall parking lot.
Doc puts on the front brakes and does a burn out remotely with the Delorean to decrease the distance between Him and Marty and the Time machine. Right?!
Why? It serves zero purpose. The car isn't moving it's just spinning wheels. The ground speed is what matters not engine or tire speed.
If wheel speed is what matters then Part 3 would have been a neglectful waste of resources. Put the Delorean on blocks and run a machine to pull the wheel speed to 88mph that would be easy with a gear ratio.

What if Doc accidentally sent Einstein into the past instead of the future?
So in the movie Doc sends his dog 1 minute into the future. They stand around talking. And then Doc's alarm goes off and they jump out of the way. The car returns.
But what would have happened if he sent Einstein 1 minute into the past? Would he have run into his "other self" while crashing into another Delorean that was already parked and waiting to go?
