Avatar Legends DLC season 1 pass. Pre-order the games, and you can vote on the final DLC fighter of season 1.
I'm not sure if it's known by all, but the game developers have shared their vision for the remaining fighters in Avatar Fighters. I've seen some guesses that differ from what was stated during the panel. Here's a summary of what they stated during the panel.
Uncle Iroh -Dicotomy between the Tactical Iroh and Dragon of the West. They want to highlight this; his ability to counter attacks will be very strong.
Ty Lee- Hardcore rushdown, erratic movement. They will highlight her acrobatics, a very tricky fighter. They are trying to get as much CHI-blocking as possible, but they will test it. Hello noodle arms...
Lin Beifong- (producer's must have) Variety of movement options, HIGH FLYING with cool metal bending. The ability to move all over the screen.
Bolin-Unique take of an Earthbender. Lean into his probending and lava bending (a mix between fire bending and earth bending techniques currently in the game, but with its own unique twists).
Fan vote DLC
Tenzin - High air mobility, master air bender.
Kuvira - All about CONTROL. Mid-range fighter, who uses her metal "bits" all over to control the screen. "Going to be crazy".
Amon - Blood bending and Chi-blocker. He will have a unique take on CHI blocking compared to Ty Lee. He is more likely to SEAL YOUR TECHNIQUES. (Will need to test)
King Bumi - weird, eccentric fighter. Teleport through the ground, reappearing in different spots. 2-part earthbending moves where he creates earth objects and "does things with them"
Asami Soto - the inventor. She will have a lot of tools and set traps. She will use a lot of tech, she will have the electric gloves, and be a setup fighter.

I’m Diamond in SF6 and thinking about picking up Avatar Legends, but I’ve been seeing a lot of people say the execution is way harder than SF6, which has me a little worried. Execution isn’t exactly my strong point, and I don’t want to spend all my time dropping combos instead of actually learning how to play the game.
For those of you who’ve played both, is the execution really that much harder, or is it something you get used to after a while? Any tips for learning the game without getting overwhelmed would be great.
Another concern is that I live in Japan, and it seems like the game isn’t particularly popular in Asia. Are there any players here from Japan or nearby countries? How’s matchmaking for you? Are you able to find games consistently?
Also, if anyone has recommendations for beginner guides, resources, or characters that are relatively beginner-friendly execution-wise, I’d love to hear them.
I don’t mind putting in the work to improve, just want to make sure I’m not setting myself up for frustration before I even get started.
Thanks!

For those that don’t know, it directly references the moment where Korra breaks free from the chains after she’s poisoned and forced into the Avatar State. Love that they are including this moment.

Briefly checked, didn't see any other posts about this yet, correct me if I'm wrong
Just thought it was mildly interesting, in the demo video dropped yesterday there are at least two instances after a dodge roll (idk the real term) that N. Korra still has the old base Korra animations for about 6 frames
Obviously this is a huge art overhaul and there is bound to be some slip ups so ofc no judgement, I just thought it was funny cuz I kept seeing a flash of ponytail and went frame by frame to check

Need help with specific matchups of Sokka into Kyoshi anf avatar aang. I feel like every game against these characters is so weird as they usually just try to put as much distance between you and get you to approach them. I just dont know how to break their defense as theyre usually prepared for grabs. Kyoshi especially messes with me by doing hyper armor moves when I do a wall jump in or something. Avatar Aang it feels impossible to approach as his range is really good. I feel like if I let him get away I lose the match
