I think asking about it genuinely is fair. But its clear from the way he asks it he wants it to be a negative interaction. He got his wish pretty quickly.

And his response was also way too calculated for the poor reporter. A league band only apply there so why do some apply across codes/leagues etc.

“Alleged journalist”. Fixed it for you. Stuff is 98% political propagandists, grifters and shills.

Reporter is obviously baiting, Cosgrove bites but I think his reaction is fully justified toward an obviously antagonistic journalist.

Judging from Cozzies reaction it seems the questions been asked more than once and pushed quite hard - shit journalism as usual

Justified, seemed like the reporter was mad he wasn't banned for the first two games 😆

Fair reaction from Cosgrove. End of the day, a team with a winning mind set will do what it needs to do to get a player available. It was within the rules. Management would be doing the players and the club a disservice if they didn’t play within their rules to the make the best of a bad situation.

Besides just moving within the rules I also agree with Cosgrove's point that a suspension in OFC Championship should not be carried into A-League so even in the moral sense I think using a technicality to get out of serving a ban in a competition that had nothing to do with the red card, is perfectly fine.

This is exactly the point. A champs league suspension is for that competition not the Premier league. Otherwise seems farcical

Voreman can fuck off. He's just another salty Phoenix fan.

Ha ha ha ha
All Phoenix fans do is whinge and moan and project their failures onto Auckland FC. Who even reads Stuff anymore anyway? The blokes a glorified gossip columnist. He should reach out to Football NZ, FIFA and Aus Football if he has issues with the decision.

If you want to be really pedantic about it, technically the team playing in that match was the OFC Squad. If it was in the A-League I think this would be a valid question, but considering he was moved into the OFC Squad to play that game, there's no reason he can't then be moved to the National League squad to serve the ban

Journalist is a prat. Cosgrove is a chud. Both seem very unlikable.

Cosgrove keeps on putting the ball in the back of the net though. That's what he's hired to do & he does it well.
