Trade Talk Anthony Edwards has been frustrated since Karl-Anthony Towns was traded, per Brian Windhorst. “The NBA vultures are swirling around Ant in anticipation of him potentially becoming the next superstar who's available in the trade market” - Tim MacMahon

Trade Talk I’m sorry this is a terrible trade
I’ve been an Atlanta fan since the 2000 season. This is an absolutely terrible trade. We were better off waiting until the off season for him to go into free agency. We would’ve had a better draft pick if they kept being bad and then he would be off in free agency. We got f***ing CJ McCollum. We didn’t even get any draft capital which is the most valuable commodity of the Wizards. Anybody that is happy with this trade, or is even nonchalant about this trade please explain it to me. This is a terrible trade, I’m tired.

Trade Talk [Amick & Woike] The Utah Jazz and Atlanta Hawks are teams with “known interest” in signing Austin Reaves. Austin Reaves is expected to command $40 million annually.
While team and league sources believe that the Lakers and Reaves will eventually land on a contract that makes sense, the door for Reaves to walk is open should he get a big offer elsewhere. Rival executives predicted Reaves could command $40 million a season due to a combination of his play, his age and, perhaps most importantly, a free-agent class completely devoid of players as productive as him in their prime. At present, the Chicago Bulls and Brooklyn Nets, who both have needs at the guard position, are the only teams with the sort of salary-cap space available to meet that sort of financial mark. Other teams that are known to have some interest in Reaves — like Utah and Atlanta, per league sources — would need to make roster moves to find the necessary space. League sources say winning will be a significant factor in Reaves’ thinking.

Trade Talk What exactly did the fo hope to accomplish by trading vit?
We getting back duop reath, who's out for the season, and two second round picks. On top of that, vit probably had the best contract for a role player in the entire nba, who could go off for 20 on any given night. Someone help me make sense of this.

Trade Talk One question in particular, if this is the final trade that goes through…
Wouldn’t that put the Hawks at like 17 players?
Not sure Jarred would be here for a long time, either?

Trade Talk 👀
Maybe we could become third team in a deal that involves Garland and Harden and somehow get him. We have 2nd round picks to send out as well. Would also be able to play with Big O.
