Cringe The beginning of the journey
Idk why but Kingston Flemings just emanates shonen hero arc aura
Iām convinced this dude will become the Hawkās MVP by his 3rd season - and scoring 0 tonight while giving the energy he did on both ends was awesome
Thereās a level of raw speed and instinct that canāt be taught, and itās just easy to root for this dude based on his story

Cringe From @1CE_TRAE on Twitter. So basically confirms the team is broken and unhappy

Cringe In Atlanta, we accept mediocrity. The Knicks, changed a coach when it was obvious the coaching wasn't working.
I was out on Quin, didn't verbalize it that much, last year when he would play Georges Niang over Mo and Vit.
We have a young defensively talented roster with a coach that is an Offensive Veteran players coach. He is the exact opposite of what this team's strengths are.
We would have had a chance for:
Tiago Splitter
but I think that Chris Quinn from the Heat would be my choice.
No other coach, regardless of the games lost, NEVER allowed their team to lose THREE straight progressively worse blowouts with no adjustments.

Cringe Pistons
Anyone else enjoying the Pistons as a backup team? Seeing JC swatting shots and Red Velvet knocking 'em down is pretty cool. Hoping we don't meet them in the playoffs.

Cringe You know what? i might get downvoted for this but who cares; iām so sick of the speds in our comments berating Pride Night, especially when the Hawks (and every NBA team) have done Pride Night for what? 5-6 straight seasons? now yāall got a problem?? šš cmon now.
our buddy Ezequiel over here strongly declaring his dissent from our fandomā¦.not over our unserious management, not over our declining chance to win ANYTHING in the next 3 years, not even over our unbelievably high ticket pricesā¦.nah, itās over Pride Night. š¤£š¤£ I know heās not being serious, Hawks basketball is an addiction after all, but holy shit iām so fuckin done with the hate honestly, idc if this sounds corny WHY FUCKING HATE. These fuckers run around telling people to āFiNd gOdā but canāt even respect the cornerstone philosophy of Christianity; being kind to people you feel donāt deserve it, or have lost godās path. Iām sorry, mods, if this falls in the category of ātoo politicalā, but this shit shouldnāt be political. Itās basic human decency.

Cringe The Atlanta Hawks will Win the 25/26 NBA Championship
I just wanna be the first to say it and to be the earliest on it. Ignore me.
Here's the case.
Trae Young is a top 75 all time player, he is on the AI/Nash tier and above players like Dame. People are slow on the uptake but he took a team with John Collins as his best teammate to the conference finals (coulda won that series too without an ankle sprain). He will be entering his prime. He also seems to ENJOY this team and has been getting off the ball in transition earlier and eye test wise is spending less time on ball.
JJ is a perfect 4 for modern basketball and missed most of the year. I don't really have more to add. This sub loves him for a reason and his approval rating is high. He does all the things he does and has very little he takes off the table. If he added 2-3 more 3PA a game it would jump his game to the next level. Off the dribble shooting is mad hard though.
Dyson.....holy fuck. I've never loved a hawk this much. Well not since Ivan Johnson. But he's incredible. He can legitimately guard 1-3 and most 4's besides the LeBron/Zion types who no one really can stay in front of. HE IS GONNA GET BETTER. Another summer spent shooting threes.
Rissacher, he's really good. He's a great wing already. He's gonna get even better, stronger, more used to NBA reads. He's already a high feel player and that's gonna get even better over time.
We also have money to add shooting and a big with hands that can catch things. And the fact that we won't lose a bunch of games to Bogi/Hunter injuries.
Obviously if our ownership group cheaps out and doesn't spend than whatever i'll just be sad.
We really are in a sneaky good window for contention though. I hope our ownership sees it and is kicking the tires for real winning moves this off-season with a willingness to go into the tax.

Cringe Since Trae "showed up" the refs in the 76ers game the Hawks have been out shot at the FT line 49 to 26. Trae has 5 attempts in the two games since.
The clip for those who don't remember the incident
The Hawks were #2 on the year in FT attempts prior to this incident.
My point is that refs openly hold grudges against teams and players. One of the areas we had really improved on this year was on ignoring the refs and had calls but Trae and Niang over the course of the past several games have seemingly gotten on the bad side of NBA officiating. What do you even do from here? Do you give them a fruit basket? Call a press conference and glaze them like SGA does? Or are we just looking at another stretch of lopsided officiating like happened following Trae speaking out after the Orlando game?
Also, why is this so blatantly allowed? Sports only function on the concept of integrity, and there's been a pretty blatant disregard of non influenced officiating at multiple points this year.
For Hawks fans who have been watching for long enough, it reminds me of the "Bud bump" where he bumped a ref and the Hawks basically didn't get calls for the remainder of that year.
I'm mostly just venting but I really do question how this doesn't consistently draw more attention from fans around the league. Multiple different teams have been officiated poorly following incidents with the referees throughout this year and it's really been grating to watch as someone who enjoys basketball.
And this isn't me blaming refs for the last two losses. We've sucked for long stretches in each of those games, but it can't be dismissed just because we've sucked. Especially when it's happened multiple times this year alone.

Cringe anyone see this Trae slander from NBA TV?
fucking David Fizdale, man. Trae and Jokic are 1a and 1b as far as best passers in the league, and mf doesn't even mention him
really hope Trae comes back strong

Cringe Enjoy the ride
Weāre playing with house money this year.
Flipped almost our entire team over the past 18 months.
JJ is young and learning how to be the guy.
New FO leadership and direction.
We got a road win against the Knicks in the playoffs. Letās get some home wins. Maybe we win the series. That would be incredible. Iād love to shut their fanbase up.
BUT! Even if we donāt this season is a big success. To make it this far while rebuilding on the fly aināt a given. CA CAAAAAW

Cringe NBA is moving away from Trae Young. Hawks should too.
They have to trade Trae. The league is moving in a more defensive, physical direction, so Trae will become even more inefficient going forward. His foul grifting, which was great in the Reg season because it took advantage of league rules, is going to be less and less effective, and since he's not likely to be more valuable moving forward than he is right now, right now is when to make the move.
......
Good scenario IMO: Trade Trae to SA for pick 4 this season, the ATL and CHI picks next season, the 27 ATL pick, and whatever else you can get.
Try to sign OG Anunoby. Look for good value guys like Obi Toppin, Nick Claxton, maybe Miles Bridges. Take a flyer on a high upside guy in Emoni Bates.
Hawks immediately become a young, fast, athletic team with good shooting, excellent defense, and actual picks to help build in the future.
