Finally went to get a bra fitting here and I can't say enough good things

I was super nervous going in but everyone was lovely and so helpful. Nicest people. And the bras are such good quality. The bras were surprisingly affordable, too (~$30-60 on average) and the fitting was free.

Wildwood

Shoutout Athens for showing up for wildwood tonight. I thought I would be able to grab tickets to the 6:30 or 7 showing for 3 people an hour before since it’s a Tuesday. To my surprise both B&B and university 16 only had front of the house seats! We ended up going to the AMC in Bethlehem which also had a pretty great turnout.

If you haven’t seen the movie PLEASE give it a try. It was genuinely one of the most beautiful pieces of media I’ve seen in years. Many tears were shed

Landlord wants to build an accessory dwelling unit on my rental property

I recently rented a house in Athens and a week after I signed the lease I was approached by the management company because the out-of-town owners are proposing to build a garage with an apartment ADU on top at the base of my driveway and connecting to my deck. They're offering me a small concession on rent for the trouble. The owners proposed to move into the unit in a few years. It all seems very up in the air and nothing has been put on paper.

I didn't realize Athens even permitted ADUs like that. I told them give me a written scope of what they wanted and what they propose to offer me and I would review it.

I think that having a text reminder is great, considering it takes what feels like decades for the government to catch up to modern-day resources.

A proposed six-story apartment complex on Reese Street could bring millions for affordable housing and a commemorative park telling the story of the Reese Street neighborhood, but it could also cause significant parking issues.

Trivia at the Indigo

What’s the vibe like at the Indigo’s trivia night? How loud and crowded is it? Would a nine year old feel super out of place? Thanks for the help!

Exit 18 (Atl Hwy) on ramps to the loop closed. Plan accordingly!

To get to work I usually take the exit 18 (Atl hwy) on ramp going south. That and the north ramp were both closed. I was traveling from mall/Sam’s club to Publix direction, couldnt tell about the other side of the ro ad because I was focusing on driving but I think the whole loop on and exit ramps are closed. With Jimmie Daniel at 316 also closed, I wish you all luck. Seems like most people are going on Atl hwy through town to get to work or destination. god speed.

Rats!

Has anybody had any experience with getting rid of a rat problem in your home? Not all extermination companies handle rats, but I’d like to hear recommendations from folks who have used one of the companies, like Orkin or Hawk, who will take on a rat problem. I know it’s going to be expensive, but I have to do SOMETHING!!!

Question / Request UGA Meat Sale

Has anyone purchased from the UGA meat sales that they do on friday? I'm actually a vegetarian, but would like to buy some meat for something, but I'm not sure how the quality is there, or how the prices compare. Ideally I would like if it's a slightly better deal than a grocery store, but I really don't know anything about meat and I'm not really sure if it's quality there or not.
