This post has been made to clear up any questions or inconveniences with both of the software control apps.

I changed the SSD from Slot 1(directly on top of wifi card) to Slot 2 and been using for a few days and I think the issue is fixed for good!

I will suggest some ways to fix the wifi issue down below. You can try these methods and I hope it will also fix the issue.

I have owned ASUS TUF F17 FX707ZM 2022 model which has 16gb Ram, 1TB SSD and RTX 3060 6gb VRAM for the last 4 years. In the beginning the wifi was working fine but from the last 2 years, it started causing issues like dissapearing randomly and only after tempering with the wifi drivers, the issue was fixed but temporarily only.

Fixes:

1. Hard Reboot the laptop by pressing and holding the power button for 20-30 seconds to flush out the electric discharge which builts overtime.
2. Disabling/Updating/Uninstalling and Reinstalling the wifi drivers from the 'Device Manager' under the 'Network Adaptors' section and click on the Wifi Card(Intel or Mediatek) to get these options.

Download drivers from here: https://www.asus.com/in/support/download-center/ look up your laptop model from the 'Settings' and search for the drivers of your own laptop model.

NOTE - Before uninstalling the wifi drivers, first download the new drivers via wifi, ethernet or usb tethering and then install them.

1. Network Reset option: Go to 'Settings', then go to 'Network & internet', then go to 'Advanced network settings' and look for 'Network Reset' option and click on Reset Now. It will restore the default settings and drivers for the wifi.

1. [My FIX] Change the SSD from Slot 1 to Slot 2: If your wifi dissappears during gaming and heavy tasks where the laptop heats up much more than normal, then this is the only fix which will work. The Wifi card is placed directly under the SSD slot 1(bad design) and during heavy tasks, the SSD heats up which overheats the wifi card and causes it to stop working.

Simply change the SSD from slot 1 to slot 2 either yourself or from some repair centre like I did. After this, I have been using the laptop for the past few days the issue has not appeared for me again.

1. Change the Wifi Card: If changing the SSD does not fix the issue, then its probably a faulty card and you need to replace it. But before that, check the architecture type of your wifi card if its PCIe(Key E & Key A) or CNVio2(Key E). You cannot put one type of card into another type and vice versa.

If its CNVio2(Key E) like AX201 then you have to replace it with the same card or with Intel AX211 wifi card.

If its PCIe(Key E & Key A) then you can replace it with the Intel AX200 or the AX210 wifi cards.

1. Last option: Even if changing the wifi card does not fix the issue (which, in almost cases will be fixed by now) then the only option is to use an external wifi dongle like from TPLink or simply use Ethernet ;(

I really hope this can help someone bcoz I too was so frustrated with the wifi issue.

Already installed g-helper... uninstalled armoury crate... dgpu was on power saving so removed that cause I was getting low fps...capped battery at 80%... currently downloading valo... what other things I do ?? any recommendations???

Is this card okay for my A15 tuf Gaming Laptop (FA506ICB)?

I been having wifi issues for a long time and finally decided to replace the wifi card.

The service center i visted yesterday was telling me that for my model, i have to use mediatek wifi card or the bios wont support it. Someone please help me. I don't know what to do :,)

I've been experiencing this kind of problem for quite some time, it triggered after several boot up throughout the week. Who's the culprit behind the source of the problem? Any possible fixes.

This is TUF A15, 3050, 16GB ram with 512GB + 1TB SSD. An older model.

I'm a week late to post this but a week ago was my birthday & I got this Asus Tuf A18 rtx 5050 16gb.

I removed AC from the system for some reason having it installed made my screen flicker I was losing my mind and was upset that it was defect until I removed it & installed g - helper. It's fine now and everything neat. A week tried G-Helper then got itch to try AC again, same screen flickering so back to G-Helper and not going back. Thought I jumped too fast but it was right anyway.

I have a question, how do you all use it as a cpu ? I wanna use the laptop with a lid close, is that fine ? If it stays open it collects dust. It's mixed some say they keep the lid open or not but it depends on the model. Anyone with A series what's your thought ?

Also it catches finger print or other hand marks I believe if used longer, any precautions for this ?

Hi, anyone here still playing in ASUS TUF FX505DT in 2026? I mostly playing valorant and league of legends, the league of legends is running smoothly but the valorant, its kinda fps dropping and stuttering sometimes. is there any reasons why? is there a fix? or no because the laptop itself is already old.

based on my research, the cause of stuttering is because of my dual channel ram of 8gb and 4gb, they're not or equal something like that.

There was a thunderstorm in my city and a bit water got into my room. My laptop charger was on floor and a little amount of water got into the charging brick. Now when I turn on my laptop it wouldn't get charged. And when I plug in the charger to board, the brick's side part is conducting electricity and creating electric shock.

Is it repairable or need to be replaced?

Temps are 60 Idle, CPU 75-80 GPU 65-75 when gaming.

Yesterday my friend cleaned my wifi card saying it will cause problem in future if not cleaned instead that clown idk maybe damaged or maybe not put the card properly whatever the reason it but now my wifi isn't working.

This is the error it shows , previously it was code 10 error I did some steps from youtube video , reinstall drive, 40sec power off , network reset but nothing worked.

I went to service center today ( also I am out of warranty now ) the service center guy said if Bluetooth is showing and wifi isn't, it is the problem with wifi card and it needs to be replaced.

He says Bluetooth and wifi both works from same card.

is it worth it to buy at 1.35 lakh?

I went from Dell inspiron 3511 (i5 1135g7 with Nvidia MX350) to ASUS TUF A16 (Ryzen 7 170 with RTX 4050), it is an advanced Birthday gift for me.

After getting out from Dell's hinge problems and overheating, its great happiness to play 1080p with smooth gameplay of Monster Hunter World. Although im not sure what to do with the laptop yet, I have already deleted bloatware programs and armoury crate (replaced with G-helper).

I even have my IETS gt500 for cooling however it doesnt give a significant change lately (the CPU temp and GPU temp remain the same with or without the cooling pad)

I know that the laptop has issues with hinges, but I was wondering if leaving the lid open makes it preventable on hinges issue ( I dont often bring the gaming laptop since its only on my living room, so I dont bring it and close the lid unless we are moving places)

Is my laptop model prone to hinges? Or is it the same with the older models of Asus tuf?

I'm looking for some optimization advice for my ASUS TUF laptop. I have a 447 GB main drive, but I'm down to just 171 GB of free space.

I have a large game installation taking up 119 GB which I want to keep completely intact. However, the rest of my drive is being heavily consumed by system files, basic commands, and general clutter.

Since this is a TUF laptop, I wanted to ask this community specifically:

• Are there any pre-installed ASUS bloatware, log folders, or Armoury Crate cache files that tend to pile up and take up massive space on these machines?
• What are the best TUF-specific cleanup tips to free up storage without touching my game files or breaking system performance?

I get this BSOD whenever I stop playing or if I die in a game.I asked AI what this is and it told maybe it's and issue with the graphics driver.So I uninstalled it using DDU and reinstalled on older version.Still it didn't work so I asked AI again and it said that there might some corrupt files in the drivers in system 32 so restore them using CMD.I did that and it worked for some time but again it came back when I updated the driver and then tried the methods used earlier but it didn't work this time.Its really frustrating for me as I can't play games properly and this problem was almost since the begining when I bought this laptop.

i bought asus tuf 3 days ago and today the full charge capacity is already 91875 should i need to worry i already limit 80 charging i dont know why this happens
