serious question, i've yet to find one person (Vanda drivers don't count as people) who prefers a gamemode which involves any form of contact over GSS...

- Each deployment will give 2 decoders at nexus core lvl 2, and 4 on lvl 3.

- To get nexus lvl 3, we need 600 shards. With 55 per deployment at lvl 2, say we all have 255 after today, at least till 1st november we'll have enough to get nexus lvl 3. I don't know how much shards is required to get lvl 4, but i guess each deployment can give around 6-8 decoders (including the 2 when you get 45 and 55 objectives)

- Based on what i saw in-game, it's highly likely that we won't get free deployment after 13 nov. Assuming we stuck at lvl 3 till 13 nov, that will be approximately 120+ decoders for f2p after today.

- If we also count the shards we earn after getting lvl 3, assuming getting 35 objectives/deployment give 75 shards, that would be around 1875 shards (but of course, 35 objectives is also the maximum you can get at lvl 3). Whether that can be exchange for 9 more deployments = 36 more decoders, or that is enough to get nexus lvl 4 early, i believe that around 160 decoders is the most f2p can get after today

I would say the batur is free if you play correctly, but for the tourbillon, that would be ~6 decoders for each board. Unless you are ridiculously lucky, or unless they give more deployment tickets after 13 nov, tourbillon is basically sitting behind a paywall. Even if you pay to get lvl 4 as early as possible, each deployment needs 10-15 races, and 30 deployments mean 400+ races. That's pretty much the same as DS when you don't have support cars at max to skip the stages. Correct me if i'm wrong.

My current assumption is following:

1. On average 4 tickets in 2 days can open 1.5 free panels (unknown, based on trial runs).

2. 14 days free (2 per day ) tickets can open 9 panels

3. Bugatti remaining 21 panels

4. OPTION 1: 17 ticket can open 4 tickets = 1.5 panels, total 17/4*1.5=6.4 panels. 17*200coins*3400 = 50 EUR

5. Remaining 21 panels - 6.4 panels = 14.6 remaining Panels

6. Auto Panel open = 1180 coins.

7. 100eur = 7500 coins /1180 = 6.4 panels.

8. Remaining 14.6 panels / 6.4 = 2.3 * 100eur = 230eur

9. Total 50 EUR + 230 EUR = 270 EUR to unlock Bugatti.

Finished my deployments for the day and some feedback:

-As a F2P progression is limited (obvious but worth noting)

-The rewards suck especially for the time spent grinding (spent about 45 - 60 mins today)

-For me each deployment takes about 15-20 minutes. I was able to get about 1 and a half panels done altogether. Rewards were some batar bps and 300k credits.

Recommendations:

-Needs more rewards for time spent. I'm not expecting the Tourbillion in the slightest, but the rewards now are just junk. One SE stage, hell even one to two SE stage runs get you better rewards.

I may try one more day, but I was lost on why I was wasting time playing it.

If you play TD like me, and having trouble with four perfect runs on the stupid Chicago track, with AI bumping into you, here's my tip: hold down drift from the beginning, only let go on jumps so you don't crash. Once you count 4 perfect runs, race to the end

A lot of people are asking what this event even is, so here’s a guide based on the first few races. It’s very early, so stuff might change.

What is Blackcrest?

It’s a new event type, and it works like a roguelike.

You run deployments, and each deployment is a mission made of several races back to back.

You have one life to get through all of them. If you lose, you start over.

What you earn from the races gets spent on panels, and that’s how you slowly unlock the rewards.

How a deployment works

• A normal deployment is 7 races. The free tutorial one today is only 3.
• You start with max health, and it carries over between races.
• You have to keep as much as you can until race 7.
• If you lose all your health, the deployment restarts and you wasted your time.
• You only get 2 deployments per day (for free at least).

IMO, don't worry about health if you have some skills.... :)

What you get after finishing all 7 races

• Decoders
• Money
• Blue tokens

Decoders and panels

A panel is a set of 3 rewards.

You spend Decoders to open packs on it, which is a minesweeper-style thing, until you find all 3. Once you do, the panel is marked complete.

If you run out of Decoders before finding all 3, you need to play more deployments (today or tomorrow) to earn more.

The Money Currency: where to spend it

Money upgrades your car’s stats.

At Nexus Core level 1 you can only upgrade top speed and acceleration, so put it all there.

Your car starts a bit weak (it’s stock minus 1 star), so you need these upgrades just to catch up.

Ran out of money?

Don’t touch your BLUE SHARD tokens. Just play more deployments tomorrow.

BLUE SHARD TOKENS: DON’T SPEND THEM

They’re more important than the regular ones.

Save them to upgrade the Nexus Core, which is the main upgrade of the event. Higher levels give you:

• more rewards
• more perk choices
• more races per deployment
• more Decoders per deployment

(I’ll cover that once I get there.)

Between races

You can choose to restore health or reduce aggression (how aggressive the cops are).

I'd pick reduce aggression unless I’m really hurting.

Perks

You pick perks during the deployment. Here’s what I liked so far, but keep in mind it’s only a few races:

• Attack Zone is my favorite.
• Nitro pickups are decent. Always pick the smaller ones (2 bottles).
• 12-15 s with 250 speed is also decent.
• My Friend says Security Shield + Attack Zone is the best combo, and that from race 4 you can basically spam it since it triggers on 2 seconds of shockwave. I didn’t test it myself, so take it with a grain of salt.

Cops

• Small cops: knock them down with shockwave and 360s.
• Big cop trucks: only nitro bomb or another perk with a bomb effect works, and it takes a few hits to trigger the knockdown.

What is this shit. I have no more deployments for today.

I've noticed that I unlock a lot of cars, but I never have enough credits or stars to make the car usable... It's like being in debt and never getting out of it.
