Tiffany was diagnosed with an incredibly rare (less than 35 people in the world) genetic condition involving the PRKAG2 gene, along with several other serious diagnoses. Her team at Duke has been wonderful, but the rarity of her condition means research, specialized resources, and potential treatment options are extremely limited. There are still so many unanswered questions.

Charges will not be filed after a woman who was run over by a pickup truck in a Walmart parking lot in Asheboro died, according to the Asheboro Police Department.

At around 1:59 p.m. on Tuesday, officers came to the Walmart on East Dixie Drive after getting a report of a crash involving a vehicle and a pedestrian.

At the scene, police found Amy Jeffries Brewer trapped underneath a 2022 Rivian R1T pickup truck.
