Device Settings Question Is it possible to get rid of the Now Playing banner in the notification bar?

I have a Fold 7 and it's kind of annoying that the Now Playing banner takes up the whole notification tray while I'm listening to music. I can't see any of my notifications without swiping down. The only way I can get rid of it is by closing Apple Music and swiping it away. Any advice is appreciated.

No.

For something like a music playing app to keep playing music when it's not directly on screen, it needs to be registered as what android calls a "foreground service". When you're one of those, you get a notification in the tray whether you like it or not, so that the user knows there's still something executing.

It's because, in ye olden dayes, when it was still possible to have stuff going on without any visual indicator of it, apps would just do that (keep aspects of themselves running in the background) all the fucking time, because app developers are scum. As this would cause unwanted side effects such as extra battery drain, and because app developers in general couldn't be trusted to only use it when it actually made sense, Google got rid of the entire concept of "background service" altogether, and came up with this new paradigm instead, forcing app developers to be (slightly) less shitty.
