Custom ROM Question Getting Android on Fire Tablet

Hello All,

I have a 1st generation fire tablet and have been trying for about week so to install android os on it, but I've been hitting multiple road blocks. I wasnt sure if anyone here has tried before successfully, depending on what's easier I have a win11 desktop and a Linux mint laptop. So far I've tried to manually install the super user app (successfully), attempted to use KFU, FFF, and TWRP but have failed at all 3 of those

Because the 1st-Gen Kindle Fire only has 512 MB of RAM and a 1.0 GHz dual-core processor, running Android 6.0 is generally sluggish. The sweet spot for custom ROM performance on that specific model was Android 4.4 KitKat.

You can't push a string.

For when you tried using TWRP, what specifically was failing or not going as expected?

In terms of what's easiest to use re. a computer, it shouldn't matter unless you are following a specific guide that references windows vs. linux and terminal command syntax.

Are you following any particular guides (like on XDA)?

Not really possible. You can install Google Play Services, but that's about it. Remember, Fire tablets run FireOS, which is NOT Android, but customized Amazon ROM. Their newest Alexa Tablets are Android.
