[Update] BOTWRecompAndroid 0.2.2 beta: Experimental Native Mode is here!

Recording note: FPS dips slightly while recording this video. Without recording, this test runs at a stable 60 FPS, with only occasional drops.

I’m releasing BOTWRecompAndroid 0.2.2 beta, and the biggest addition is Native Mode. The game’s ARM64 code now runs directly on the phone’s CPU, so this mode skips the lengthy game-code compilation during setup. You can choose it when adding your game files, or switch to it later if you already set up the recompiled mode.

This update also adds an experimental 60 FPS option for in-engine cutscenes and fixes the white water and Link sinking into the ground while standing still.

Native Mode is still experimental. I’ve tested it with game versions 1.0.0 and 1.9.0, including saves and restarts; 1.6.0 and 1.8.2 still need testing in this mode. Expect bugs and performance differences across devices. The video was recorded on a POCO F7 Ultra with an Adreno 830 and a Turnip driver.

No game files are included. You’ll need your own legally obtained game dump. Download and details: BOTWRecompAndroid releases. If you encounter a problem, please open an issue and attach a log.

Tem suporte a Mali, mas não espere um desempenho ótimo, até agora só vi o Poco X8 Pro rodando a uma média de 23 ~ 26 FPS, mas estou trabalhando para otimizar cada vez mais para GPUs Mali e Xclipse, o apoio da comunidade está sendo essencial

claro, comprendo. Solo que es un poco difícil para muchos hacer eso. Algunos no cuentan con pc y no saben hacer el proceso. El port de links awakening si deja instalar desse un NSP o XCI.

Still getting 20-25 FPS on a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2, no where near as good as I get in Cemu running the Wii U version.

I have an AYN Odin 2 Portal. BOTW runs better in Cemu on every platform. Even folks with high end gaming systems use Cemu for BOTW. That's why all the modding for it is developed there.

This is a much lighter area, yet the FPS is already dropping into the low 40s. 

If you test it in the dense forest area, I'm sure your frame rates will drop to the mid-30s.

And for a phone thats fucking amazing? I would much rather play at a capped 30fps than 20-25 fps like the actual Wii U. This is impressive.

Yea you right. Some of these ports are actually garbage. For instance, skyrim runs better with winlator than the port.

Can my mali 8350 handle this? I've tested it on cemu and I get 20-25 fps, sometimes 30. It's a Wii u and the rendering is good compared to switch like Eden, lemon, citron that have shadows only.
