Tell me your stories of close calls with the stalker in the bunker!

So recently I’ve played through the bunker and now I’m obsessed with everything about it. The lore, the setting, but also the intelligence and unpredictability of the stalker. Like how the time i had in the arsenal couldn’t find the stalker before turning a corner to see it LURKING like he was trying to wait me out! Just wondering what stories people have here of close calls or how lambert outsmarted you :)

So, There is a Amnesia Co-op speedrun!

With the release of the amazing co-op mod by PeterStelos, my friend Quazzar and I decided to see what this modification is truly capable of. Instead of just a casual, fun playthrough, we aimed for a full-fledged cooperative speedrun!

Our main goal was to showcase how the original mechanics translate into a multiplayer environment, highlight the intense challenges two players face when running on speed, and demonstrate how this mod breathes a second lease of life into good old Amnesia.

Here are some interesting things we noticed during the run

Skips and task splitting: Co-op allows us to trigger progression flags in different parts of a location simultaneously, which completely breaks familiar timings and shaves off a massive amount of time compared to solo runs

Monster aggro: Managing the Gatherers when there are two targets on the map is absolute chaos. One of us literally had to act as bait while the other player slipped past

Sanity management: Splitting the insanity mechanic between two players opens up a completely new layer of strategy for routing. With the release of the amazing co-op mod by PeterStelos, my friend Quazzar and I decided to see what this modification is truly capable of. Instead of just a casual, fun playthrough, we aimed for a full-fledged cooperative speedrun!

Huge thanks to PeterStelos for breathing new life into this horror classic!

Amnesia: The Bunker Devs. Forgive me for I am weak

In the early months of 2015, I was twelve years old and yet I had just finished alien isolation and played through every dead space game multiple times.

To be fair, isolation was definitely the scariest game I had ever played and the first part of the game where you had to sneak around it and hack open an elevator door, I believe, had my heart pounding so hard I had to take a break because my chest was actually hurting.

But somehow as I have gotten older I think my tolerance for genuinely scary horror games has gotten worse. I noticed it the first time while playing through the dead space remake, I don't know if it is just scarier because the graphics had improved so much along with the sound design and that I hadn't played it in years but, even though I had played the originals a million times, the remake was freaking me out.

Now at the age of twenty four, I have to admit, amnesia:the bunker is too scary for me.

I bought it last November and have only gotten so far as to get the code to go to the arsenal. The amount of times that I have turned the game on, played it for five minutes and then decided to play something much less frightening is embarrassing.

Last night, I turned off outlast which I bought earlier this year but have only played for about half an hour.

What's happening to my brain, how did I have a better tolerance for horror games when I was a child compared to now. I know I played the outlast two demo back when it came out and I had no problem with it.

I'm not going to give up and the solution can only be exposure therapy but this is still very annoying

I believe *Caput Mortum* would be the perfect successor to Amnesia: The Dark Descent, the atmosphere and graphics are quite similar in fact, I’d say the two games resemble each other

HELL NO | First time playing. Immediately quit the game afterwards. I'll come back when I'm braver.

I'm already loving "Amnesia: The Dark Descent".

I just downloaded Amnesia: Collection for the Nintendo Switch yesterday, and I am LOVING Amnesia: The Dark Descent. I initially downloaded the collection to experience Amnesia: The Dark Descent for myself, and the experience is nothing short of amazing. It's quickly becoming one of my favorite horror video games of all time. The atmosphere is delightfully creepy, the design of the castle is beautiful, and the psychological horror elements? Impeccable. Definitely worth the $8.

At the time of writing this post, I have made it to the Back Hall hub area, so I've already made it through a good chunk of the game. The Kaernks have proven to be a challenging threat, and the puzzles themselves are also quite challenging, though I'd argue that the puzzles in this game are WAY easier than the ones in Poppy Playtime.

I wrote a feature ranking all four Amnesia games for Halloween.

I recently played through the series and thought I'd write a ranking of the games for Halloween. I kinda wanted to put A Machine For Pigs higher than Rebirth because, as many issues as that game has, that ending is ungodly levels of good. Sadly at the end of the day, it's still barely a video game.

I am pretty confident about The Bunker being where it is though, one of the finest of its genre. What do you guys think?

I am playing amnesia on hard mode and tbh my dumbass was not paying any attention bc I basically space out whenever i play this game and decided it was a good idea to go follow that grunt you see in the wine cellar and I started dying and in my panic i saved my game mid-dying and then used laudanum like u can see me do in the vid bc i didnt want to redo the intro portion. and so now he is. in the ground. I am still playing and he's still crawling around like a baby who just learned to crawl.

i have no idea how to fix it but i wanna see how long I can play reliably with him halfway through the ground. Nothing has fixed it so let's goooo

just think it's kinda silly
