[af]At What Point Does a Home Gym Become Limiting for Advanced Training?

For beginners, a basic home setup can cover a lot of ground. But the more experienced you get, the more specific your training needs may become.
I'm curious where experienced lifters think the real limitations start to show up.
Is it running out of load, missing specialized machines, limited exercise variation, a lack of training partners, or simply the difficulty of managing fatigue and programming on your own?
If you've trained seriously for years with a home gym, what eventually made you add equipment, join a commercial gym, or realize you didn't need to change anything at all?
