Sorry for the acerbic title.

I just gave up on Priest of Mars because of this issue. I was really excited for a story that focused on the Adeptus Mechanicus, because I love transhuman concepts. That, plus religious imagery? Even better.

I was incredibly disappointed to find that none of the main characters in this book are even AdMechs (wtf), and the AdMechs in the story are all fucking morons.

It's almost comical how much the book hates on the AdMechs. They are out-of-touch, aristocratic monsters. They should at least be borderline competent in exchange.

Get a REALLY F-up roll start from turn 2, can barely hole the line till turn 5 praise the Omnissiah (T⁠▽⁠T⁠)

WE's melee is damn strong, it's the hardest match I have ever face (T⁠▽⁠T⁠)

Should i swap the raiders for a unit of fusiliers? And should i put the marshal with them instead of the vanguard?

I LOVE Kataphron units, I think they're the coolest infantry we have, both visually and from a shooting standpoint

Regardless of my favoritism, what detachment combos and also enhancements (and leaders too) work best for making Kataphrons more fun?

Obviously I'd love to take data psalm but it is so weak

Took far too long. I cant imagine how long its gonna take to do the whole squad.

I’m reasonably new to Warhammer 40K, and selected Admech as my first army. I have about 10 games under my belt so far. Of those ten games I’ve only won two. Winning only 20% of my battles means I’m probably misusing my army pretty severely. I attribute it to not understanding my army/leader buffs/battleline aura.

In most battle rounds I’ll finish my phase and then remember “oh! That unit was suppose to have +1 to hit” and I’ve lost the benefits that are supposed to make a buff-playstyle army function.

But because I don’t really have a cohesive list I think I’m overwhelmed why the sheer number of interactions all my units have. How do other players manage this? Should I simplifying my list to have fewer units, keep tokens to identify what’s being buffed, or just “git gud”?

Still on my magnetization role, the whole squad is prepped, but I unfortunately only had time to fully paint this one. The red leather is my feature for this model, really proud of how the highlights came out on this.

I've got 8 kastelan robots, 2 cybernetica datasmiths, 1 engiseer, and Cawl already, and every time I look at getting anything else the one thing I keep getting caught on (besides the price) is the question of whether I'll drop a ton of money on it just to see it go to legends in a few years, or even with the next Admech codex.

Is anyone able to offer any insight?

Title pretty much, recently had a practice game where the clock was started in the deployment phase is that correct or nah?

A couple months back I finally convinced a good friend of mine to get into warhammer. He loves the whole artificer/steam punk vibe and so ended up getting the mechanicus combat patrol (the one with the 5 skystalkers, 3 seberys raiders, 10 skitarii, and a tech priest).

With his birthday on the horizon what are some go to complimentary units that would help him get up to a good 500 or so pts? I only play SM and CSM so not very knowledgeable about the Martian Cult

I know it's not technically Ad Mech, but this is really the main sub I post my finished projects to, plus our cog-boys make these things so, they're ours by spirit.

I recently lost my cat very unexpectedly. It was my first time having to deal with that kind of loss since having kids, so I wanted to do something special with them for him. I've been seeing people online put a bit of their lost pets ashes/fur inside of a dreadnought, and my kids liked the idea.

We built it together, and I handled the paint. It was a bit of a rush-job, as I didn't want to take too long to get the closure, but I think he turned out pretty good. My daughter did the flowers, and we had a little funeral. He was the sweetest, chonkiest, black cat named Goblin, and now he'll forever watch over our house on our mantle
