PwC 2021 Compensation Thread
Alright folks, looks like a good number of people are getting their comp information over the next few days. We’ve seen good assurance, I mean Trust Solutions Assurance, bumps, what about the rest of us?
- Market/Office
- Trust or Consulting Solutions and LOS/Vertical
- CY Level -> FY22 Level (A1>A2, S1->S2, S3->M1, etc)
- Rating
- Old Salary -> New Salary
- Bonus
- Interesting notes on what RLs/RPs have told you related to future comp.
- Anything else? (opinions on the cohort model for all LOS, opinions on the new equation, etc)

I’ll kick us off
-
HCOL (not NY/BANW)
-
Consulting Solutions - Deals
-
A2 -> S1
-
1
-
74k -> 97k
-
8k
-
n/a
-
Nothing major. I’m a fan of the cohort model in the spirit of comp transparency, but it’s not good if everyone is being underpaid…we’ll see.
I’ll also drop the advisory cohort google sheet.

Southeast
-
Consulting, Risk and Reg
-
S3 > S4
-
1 rating for second consecutive year.
-
93k > 104k
-
$16,700
-
I did not get promoted “because there were no spots at manager and above due to our switch to the national model”, even though I have never received lower than a two rating in my career at PwC. I feel that I am being screwed, but I would love to hear some additional opinions on my situation.

Is it true that PwC is moving to a "cohort" model where associates and seniors get the same base salary?

cohort so all A1s, A2s, S1s, etc get the same pay for the same role and COL
it doesn’t mean that associates and seniors get the same pay

NYMetro

Trust (legacy Audit)
-
Under new model (w/ Director title added) going from 2nd year SR Manager to 3rd year SR Manager...under legacy model would be going into 2nd year as Sr Manager
-
Tier 1 last few years
-
$138K --> $146K
-
$26K
-
Felt like there was no transparency...
-
Is there a cohort model for Sr Managers also? ~5% base increase seems low...thoughts?
