Guy is amazing. 20-25 minute podcasts. Clear, concise, shows context. Free on Apple Podcasts but he rolls them out as the curriculum progresses over a typical school year. He has a paid membership too where you get all the podcasts at once and study material. This isn’t an ad for him - just a testimonial that it’s great. Seems
Like he started the podcast for his own students. There must be a lot of 5s in his class. He’s really able to tell the story simply. I like Heimler too, but would choose Lyndeurozone if I had to make a choice.

Hello,

I’m an AP Euro teacher. Currently we use A World Lit Only Ny Fire for our summer reading assignment. Any teacher out there have alternative books that you use for your summer assignment? Thanks.

So I took apush last year and completely self studied on Kahn academy and it ended up being fine I got a 4 I wasn’t happy but now I wanna take euro and I want to know the best way to self study, since there is no course on khan academy. Should I get the barons book? Princeton review? Please help me out. also I am debating wether to take it or not. I am already self studying two other aps and my college counselor said another ap is not that important, but I am interested in ap euro. Basically if it takes me a long time to get through the start I won’t do it but if it’s manageable I will do it

Okay so I'm on unit 3 and I did so badly on the last tests. I suck at the pop quizzes that my teacher hands out and I think I did bad on the LEQ (practice). I forget some important details on the terms that are on the test and those are the questions I struggle with. I even struggle with the test questions from primary sources and secondary sources.

The teacher tells us to take notes on all the terms and I do take notes in detail but I seem to forget about some of them on the test.

I'm also a perfectionist and I'm genuinely frustrated with my unit test scores and I need study tips and advice to memorize the details of the terms and events that are happening

Plus I'm burned out as hell and I need to recover fast because it's not like thanksgiving break or winter break is around the corner. This class has been making me feel overwhelmed when I actually wanted to take this class and all I need to do is ace the tests and take better notes

So what are some study strategies I can use? How do I get better at writing SAQs LEQs and DBQs? (I tend to spiral on them).

I've been watching that Heimler guy y'all have mentioned and I heard that I should try active recall.

tomorrow I am doing a portfolio and there is a thing called a pirates chart. anyone know how to fill it out? currently in unit 1-2 where jts like 1450-1600’s

I desperately need help on my AP euro notes- My teacher wants us to do notes from textbook chapters. And if im being honest- the textbook is complicated that it needs to be. I have tried ai generating notes (not my best decision) but those don't really go in detail. Also my teacher doesn't really teach so I have been watching heimler but does Anyone got any good notes from AP euro that ya'll are willing to share?

Hi everyone,

Disclosure: I'm the developer of this app, so please keep that in mind.

My name is Jan Budyta. Last year I took AP European History, and I really enjoyed the content of the class. Because of that, I decided to build an app to help myself and my friends prepare better for the final exam.

I had no prior experience building apps, but I didn't give up, and I eventually managed to publish it on the App Store. The app is called 5iveHistory - AP European History. Since then, it has helped a number of students prepare for their exam. The app covers all the topics in the AP Euro curriculum and includes over 100 practice multiple-choice questions, along with LEQs and SAQs.Thank you so much for reading, and I really appreciate any feedback you can share.

I'm not here to sell anything — I'd genuinely love honest feedback from fellow students so I can keep improving it and make it a better resource for people studying for this exam. Any thoughts, suggestions, or criticism are very welcome.

Thank you so much for reading!

Hi! I took AP Euro last year and earned a 5 as an ESL student. It's my favorite class ever! So I really want more students to take Euro and succeed. Therefore, I opened sessions in Schoolhouse for anybody who is self-studying or feels that school is not that effective.

We will have sessions 1-2 times per week and cover all the class content and AP review. Check out the link to see more details!

PS: I have the best, most helpful teacher in the world, and she gave me the chance to listen to her class this year too, so I will have fresh, new content.

I'm hosting a session about AP European History 5able on https://schoolhouse.world, a free online tutoring platform. You should check it out!

So my teacher has us do reading quizzes on our textbook. Which is honestly very easy to learn the content, until the quiz. She allows us to use notes on the reading quizzes, but I struggle to make notes that are relevant to the quiz. Does anyone have any tips on what to focus on while reading the textbook.

My teacher has us reading the textbook called “A History of Western Society,” eighth edition. I have a lot of trouble focusing, especially on texts, does anybody know if there is an audiobook that I can find for this text book? I am having a really hard time finding one.

I feel like it’s kinda tedious to memorize people’s names beyond like actual influential figures like Petrarch and the medici family

Does anybody have a YouTube video I can watch instead of reading “the west before 1300” and “the late Middle Ages: social and political breakdown”

Guys I am planning to self study AP Euro and AP Human Geography. I honestly loveeee history so much except US history but that’s besides the point. I took AP world last year and the EXAM was easy not the class. How hard is AP Euro? i heard it was the hardest histrky Ap i think. I’m not that scared for AP Human Geography though. Please LMK and give me some study tips if you can!!!!!

I really don’t wanna get the big textbook and carry that around 🫩thanks my book name is A History of Western Society for the AP® European History Course, Fourteenth Edition

Wondering if anyone has a digital copy of this book? A History of Western Society for the AP® European History Course, Fourteenth Edition

I’m a junior and this is my first AP history class, and the only other AP I have is lang. Im still kind of nervous since this year is the first year I’ve had AP’s. I’m not a big history person, I would much rather have AP Pre-Calc or AP Chemistry since I’m better at those subjects. I do realize I’m not the best when it comes to studying, though. So I’d like to know how to optimize my time to studying and memorization. I don’t do any after school activities anymore so I have around 5 hours to dedicate to the class. My teacher is chill and seems genuinely nice, he seems to usually go over slides since most of the class is seniors who have taken APUSH already. Generally, what should I expect from this class and how do I prepare for it??

I am taking ap euro and we had summer reading I completely forgot to do. I have a test tomorrow on the first day and don’t know how to use my time effectively so I can pass the test. It’s two 30 question mcq, one about geography and the other about the history.

I ordered my AMSCO on Amazon, but it doesn’t come until the 31st- September 11th (mind you my test is the 28th of this month) so is there an online version I can look at with the same content? I really don’t wanna get the big textbook and carry that around 🫩thanks

Hi, I'm an incoming sophomore and am enrolled in AP euro. I have a pretty demanding schedule but the class I'm the most worried about is Euro. I start school in a few weeks and was wondering if there was anything I could do to prepare in my already minuscule amount of free time. I've been pretty busy with others things but with my life winding down, is there anything I could do to at least slightly prepare myself?

History can be pretty hit or miss for me, like in eighth grade I didn't do so extremely well at US history, but my freshman honors history (world + geography) class with a very hard teacher, I did shockingly well.

Thanks!

(It's also probably worth it to add that I do love history and euro really does interest, hence why I decided I would hopefully do well since I'm at least a little niterested in the subject)
