Chances of a 28
OK, so I put my scores up there this was my first time taking the test. I am a junior. What would my chances be of being able to actually get it up to a 2? Like realistically. I just bought the prep median course and will do that in Hope to retake in April. This was paper and I will retake digital

Wow that’s great. Did you do any specific course or how did you study?

i just bought the offical ACT prep books for 2026-2027 and skipped everything and worked the process only on all of the practice questions. I think in total I did around 800 math questions, 500 reading questions and like 800 english questions and didn't really focus on science cuz i heard they weren't grading it anymore

it's no 36 but i didn't have a tutor i didn't take calculus, i just took normal high school algebra II and simple math classes like usual and self studied with my dad

I took the ACT in April and I got a 22 and I re-took it in July and got a 29! It’s definitely possible to have a huge score increase, but you have to be willing to sacrifice a lot of your time and work extra hard for it. Keep grinding I know you can do it if you put in the work. Never stop.

I went up from 27 to 33 from simple practice tests and reviewing my missed concepts. You will reap what you sow. You definitely can. I’d say it’s highly possible given that you study and prepare for it. I’d give you even higher honestly. I’ve saw some amazing turn arounds from simple studying.

I will say I hardly studied at all for this test due to also taking an 8 week college algebra course that should have been taken over 16 weeks. I will now be able to fully study for the next test. I appreciate your actual response compared to some of the responses I’ve got. Thank you so much!

I literally had the same situation, I got a 21 jr year and got up to a 28 sr now. And honestly it wasn’t all to hard either maybe I did like 15 hours of studying and I got it
