I went and saw Sarper do standup tonight at Louisville Comedy Club. As a huge fan of the show I wasn’t sure what to expect. I thought it could either be really bad or really good. It actually was REALLY GOOD. I laughed my ass off. Seriously. Of course he made some jokes about 90 Days but he didn’t lean into it too much. He talked about his marriage but he never said her name, and really it was very tasteful.. normal married life jokes. But his delivery was great… his enunciation was great. I’m hard to please
with comedy and literally left with a sore face from laughing so hard. About 300 to 350 in attendance and the crowd was in stitches. I cannot recommend enough. I’ll probably try to catch him at another show. Lol

The drama this season has to be manufactured by the producers. There's no way these grown ass people are acting like this irl. Jamal and Emma are being so immature. He's too emotional and comes across really childish. Who cares if you're confrontational if you're just gonna cry about it. And Emma is attention seeking and constantly needs to be validated. It just seemed like I was watching some teen drama and not almost 30 year olds. I can see them trying to keep a relationship just to milk the franchise and get attention.

I think it really needed to be highlighted how multilingual people are viewed in the US. I’m glad Shaun said “you weren’t considered less intelligent in the Dominican for not speaking the language” and comparing it to her behaviour belittling Edward for learning.

As someone who hates having their face touched, this would drive me insane. Squishy Mommy looks like she's had enough of being squished, but Niles doesn't seem to be picking up on it 😭 I would get annoyed so quickly if someone kept doing this to me.

I’ve noticed that a lot of people are being critical of Matilda and I wanted to give some cultural context that might explain things

1. Mr. Arc’s request for gifts is perfectly normal in their culture. It’s a way of honoring your elders and your family. If Niles was from Ghana, they paid have the same expectation.

2. In Ghana, the husband is responsible for his wife and children’s essential needs. The reason Matilda asked Niles to give her money for an apartment is because in her mind, that’s something a husband should provide. Her money is a supplemental source, not the primary source.

3. This situation is humiliating for Matilda and her family. West Africans are very opinionated and they’re not afraid of expressing those opinions. The fact that Matilda is still in America makes it look like she and her family made the wrong choice by trusting Niles.

4. Matilda is living in a country where you can work long hours and still not have enough money to feed your family. Of course they want Matilda to go to America so she can help provide for them. Can you blame them? They don’t want a luxurious lifestyle. They just want to stop worrying about how they’re going to survive.

Maybe Matilda isn’t handling things in the best way but calling her and her family scammers is unfair. They were very honest about what they expected and Niles said he meet their expectations. Let’s not forget that he borrowed money from Mr. Arc so he could marry Matilda. He chose this. He’s not a victim.

After Mr arc said if Matilda were his daughter that he’d slap Niles for not bringing her to the US after the agreed 5 months and she smiled. I loved it and thought it was pretty funny…I don’t blame her at all for smiling either

I just watched the way he treated her in front of his friends, and honestly, it was painful to watch. She simply asked if she could have a cappuccino in the evening, and he made a big deal out of it, talking down to her in front of everyone.

The thing is, this wasn't even about the cappuccino. It was just one thing among many. It was one more example of a pattern where he seems to enjoy belittling her and making her feel small.

Even his friends looked incredibly uncomfortable. Nobody was laughing. Everyone just seemed embarrassed for her.

I genuinely don't understand why some people think humiliating their partner in public is acceptable. The cappuccino wasn't the issue. His behavior was.

Red flag alert. Felix and Michelle. This was a new one for me. She lived there for 9 months already, and then her bf and his "minister" father "robbed" her apartment of everything as a "prank"...? And then the dad says she thought he was a thief...uhh sir...you are. I haven't seen enough to know if Felix cares about her and is being influenced by his dad, or if they're both scamming. The way he vacillates between the tearful victim and simmering rage during this discussion was disgusting. I know I’m late to this but I just watched the first half of the reunion. In all of the discussions on this, I’ve never heard anyone bring this fact up about reactions to perfumes.

I noticed it recently with myself as I’m sensitive to fragrances. I recently put on a new hand cream that had a fragrance and noticed I was in a bad mood that day , all while still being able to smell the fragrance. Then I recalled all the other times I’ve used someone’s heavily fragranced hand wash and it puts me in the exact same mood. It’s like a combination of anxiety and anger.

I looked it up and this is a biological reaction as smells have a direct pathway to the emotional centre of our brains, and for sensitive people who don’t have a strong filter we register the smells as much more intense which creates emotional reactions.

I just thought it was worth noting the emotional element and it’s not just about a runny nose and eyes. oh and Paula should absolutely back her man instead of gaslighting him!!!
