Thanks 😊 I was surprised the white case worked so well. I was originally going to get black but had a last minute change of mind.

Yep, this seals the deal. If I don’t get a preorder for a Meshlicious tonight I’m ordering an SV540 first thing tomorrow morning

Any more pics?!?

Yup :) when I finish a build I usually slow release the portfolio pics over a few days @80ishplus on IG and FB. This is just the intro pic to let people know I’ve finished a build.

Is that a low profile card? Looks really nice with those copper/brown accents.

You know I was excited about this case but I already basically have one with the SM580.

Great build!
How did you find using the Phanteks R160C res? I’m planning on using it in my new build, but I’m a bit worried about that little ‘fin’ that comes down next to the fill port. It looks like it will introduce an airlock in the main part of the res. Did you have any issues with filling or bleeding the system?

u/80ishplus Feb 09 '21
Thanks :)
I’ve had an issue where I can’t solve a gasket leak somewhere on the R160c. I’ve tried to swap out with different DDC pumps and DDC o-rings and it hasn’t helped. I had a chat with Liquidhaus who owns a few of these and he’s never had an issue. I’ve RMA’d this one and I’m waiting for a replacement. I’ll let you know how it goes.
The air bubble does get trapped in the chamber. You can get most of it out by rotating the PC but there’s usually a bit left. To bleed the loop I just let it run for 24 hours and modulate the pump speed up and down a few times to wash out any trapped air before topping it up. Having an air pocket at the top is not a big deal.

Good to know, I’ll check for leaks with my pump before it gets mounted in the system
I was having trouble deciding on which pump to go with, but from that I think I’ll get an EK pump and just remove the pump top.
It’s the only PWM option locally in a reasonable timeframe. Plus it’s going to be mounted pump side out, so it’ll nice having the black heat sink visible, rather than a standard plastic bottom

I’m not sure if you’ll have space for the heatsink. I’ve got about 4mm of gap between the pump and the GPU and the reservoir is flush with the outer panel. It’ll be tight I think.

I’d suggest a pwm DDC though. Not being encased in a housing means that you’ll want better control over noise.

Holy FUCK. What a GORGEOUS BUILD! BRAVO!

Thanks a lot, ☺️it was fun, I’d like to do some more tight space SFF hard line tubing builds.

You have a parts list for this anywhere?

Incredible, love all the details. I have a SV540 on the way. This is just making me itch to do more with it. Looking forward to more pictures and details

The only thing I’d say is that they do need a better instruction guide for users. There isn’t really a good screw list or anything like that. That being said I know Sliger is working on one so maybe it’ll be out soon.

I love that Heatkiller block, I used to have one on my 1080. What GPU is that?

does this case work okay with stock coolers on CPU or do you need AIO?

Boy, I sure am glad I picked up my sliger before you posted this. There’s gonna be a giant rush on them now! Isn’t this upside down, though?

I wish this type of case had a vertical system for the GPU so we're not limited to tiny-sized graphics cards.
I know it would require some deformed twisted PCIe rise cable but Im sure some manufacture can come up with something

The Sliger SV series (SV540 is pictured in OP) are designed around that very idea. I have an SV590 and it fits a 3090 in vertical orientation, alongside a 360 rad.

FYSA. Sffpc has labelled me a vendor (for Rotaqua) but this case is a Sliger SV540 which you can buy online. I didn’t make it. If you have time and you’ve never seen a Sliger case you should go check out their website and their subreddit, this is my second build in one of their cases and I love their industrial style.
