That reminds me of a cute song my spanish teacher made up about puerto rico. I don't remember the lyrics, but it was about the island being mysterious and beautiful, "the island of love." (he went there a long time ago tho)

There is a tribe of people in Papua New Guinea that used to consume the corpses of deceased loved ones as part of ritual funerary cannibalism because they had beliefs that it would free their spirits
They stopped in the 1960s or so because many died of an incurable, fatal, prion-based neurodegenerative disease called [Kuru](https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kuru_(disease)
