Dr Fluke Hawkins's bad coffee puns: ground daily and brewed fresh!

intelligentsia

what in the sweet fuck does this even mean?

It's just a brand of coffee.

In this context, it's not only a brand of coffee but it's considered one of the best brands of coffee in world. It's on my list of places to go out of my way to try- I think there's one in DC, but if not, I'm definitely hitting the NYC training lab if I can the next time I'm there.

EDIT: Swiftkey accidentally a words, some clarification.

ah, i was afraid this was like some kind of "reddit NWO" term.

Wondering why you are downvoted is a dark obsession, wise to avoid.

Someone HATES me on the internet? Oh my fucking god. I'm not going to be able to sleep until I find out who it was and they explain themselves.

have you ever had someone hate you so much on the internet that they take time out of their day to follow you and badmouth you? They write scripts to try to belittle you?

I have. It's incredibly amusing and pretty sad. This internet is a strange place. Some people take it very seriously.

so, in his comment criticizing Intelligentsia coffee, he embraces the fact that people will downvote him, but then makes a self post complaining about downvotes when they do.

Did OP ever confirm that this was the only post they were referring to?

One of my favorite reddit comment progressions. Opinion expressed dickishly ===> downvotes ===> why does nobody respect my opinion?

4

u/zahlman Aug 25 '12

I think people frequently genuinely don't think they sound dickish.

r/coffee is choc full of snobs. It ranks in my most pretentious subreddits along with a couple others.

u/[deleted] Aug 24 '12

There's a subreddit for EVERYTHING it seems.

There's even a sub r/outletporn.

I love coffee but r/coffee seems pretentious.

I'm just an occasional drinker but I'd say people passionate about coffee to be annoying. I don't mind being talked about wine by a connoisseur or beer by a beer snob but there's something about those coffee snobs that I can't stand. Probably cause I don't care much what my coffee tastes.

there's already a r/coffeecirclejerk, it must be pretty jerky seeing as it's quite small.

Is it just me or was SRD obama a bit off his game today? I usually get a chuckle from those accounts and this time, just meh.

Upvote just for hilarious pun.

So is this jackass a troll or just dumb?

If people wanted to take reddiquette seriously they should have people sign up for it and agree to it first, like the "summoner's Code" in the LoL forums.
