I've only ever answered one prompt and I absolutely wish it was more. I haven't been writing for very long, so that's my excuse, but it's not a good one. I've been doing this writing thing for a couple months now, and I could totally do more prompt responses.
What could I do to increase my prompt response output? Kick myself into gear! Simple!
I would say the biggest hindrance for me is I'm such a slow writer, that it's hard for me to motivate myself to get the words out. I have such a busy lifestyle and I've taken a major liking to the weekly features that I find it difficult to etch out time for other things I wish I could do.
But responding to prompts is definitely on my to-do list.

Don't worry about writing slower than others. Everyone works at their own pace. The more you practice it, the quicker you'll become too!

I'm from the us, and have been a lurker on reddit for a number of years though this account is relatively new. I've post once or twice and would love to post more, but I have big time anxiety both from fear of critique and posting, that unfortunately leads me to either scrap an idea pretty quickly or causes major writers block.

It's tough to shut down that anxiety, but it can help to think of it like practice. Nobody gets good at anything without working at it, so practicing your writing is just helping you improve it!

There was a point where I was doing them daily or almost daily. Then my job blocked reddit, so I'd scan the prompts before work at McDonald's when I was getting my coffee. If something struck me, I'd write something in email, send it to my phone to post later. That was a hassle and lessened my enthusiasm.
When I'm working on an actual submission somewhere, the prompts take a back seat. Ironically, something I want to work on is making a couple of collections of my prompts -- but rewritten or completed. (Some of them tend to be beginnings because they're too open-ended, or just a scene with a sense of something larger but of what I don't know)
Two of the stories that I had included in the anthology "Devilish & Divine" came in to being through prompts, but were written so late (compared to the prompt's posting) that I never posted them. I held on to them until I could use them.

Oh, sending them to yourself for later is a great idea!

Not as often as I'd like. I often refresh the Reddit every hour or so hoping to see a prompt that grabs my attention; something that I look at and go "Oh, this is interesting, I can work with this".

Every hour, though, that's a good commitment!

It's just a creative itch I need to scratch. Never thought I had it before now.

I'm quite satisfied with how often i write/answer prompts. Although having more time would be nice, some saved didn't have time to write.
Also when answer after more hours usually and not that popular ones not that many people read my stories. I had one where 14 other people upvoted though.
