OFFICIAL Resistance: Burning Skies [Official Game Thread & ID Trading]

Feel free to share any hints or tips regarding anything. If there is a need, I'll break things into more categories.
I'll make a category for PSN ID trading as well. Feel free to also submit your preferred game type, and, your review (out of 10), if you'd like!
General
- Keep up to date with the newest official news here. (source)
- Or, the official Twitter, here.
- Disable Look Acceleration. The sluggishness is removed, and you'll instantly feel like the game is snappier and more responsive.
- Use Down on the D-Pad to run, rather than tapping the back touchscreen. (source)
- Change your NAT type to 2 to have better luck connecting to multiplayer. (source)
Multiplayer
- Don't wait for the multiplayer to time out. It seems to connect instantly, or not at all. If it doesn't connect, just back out and try again. (source)
- I've had the best luck just choosing the first multiplayer option (All Gametypes - Large Game), rather than trying to filter to a preferred game type.
- Be sure to use that melee button when you sneak up on someone! (source)
- If you have a team mate who isn't responding, your enemies can melee him as much as they want and he won't die or respawn. The other team can rack up points as much as they want. Obviously this is broken. My tip is to protect your team mate at all costs. It's almost like an entirely new game mode really. (source)
Weapons
- Mauler's secondary is infinite. To make efficient use of it, put out for mobility + faster heat up. (source)
- The Bullseye's exploding tag powerup is great for turning enemies into mobile timebombs. (source)
- 3 shots from the Hunter makes heads go POP! (source)
- Not aiming down your sites is a lot quicker and makes it easier to transition from reloading to killing. It's just as accurate. (source)
- Unlike Resistance 2, you can use the Axe to "chop the shit out of" the egg sac things, and OHK them. (source)

I'm really impressed by the game. The story was intense and I loved the ending. The multiplayer will keep me occupied for quite a while. This makes me pretty hopeful for the upcoming shooters for the Vita. (Good God let there be some iteration of Borderlands...)

I have this game, but let my friend play it before I do (cos if I play first, I lose my stuff when I give to him). I should have it in 2-3 days, so add me and we can send each other experience boosts through Near (I've already been getting tons from other people).

Anyone have an update on the multiplayer fix?
Aside from the excruciating multiplayer issues, I think this game's negative reviews are really off. I am happy that I didn't listen to a review for once and decided to check the game out myself. Keep in mind, I was not looking for this game to be the next MW3 on the vita. I know what the Vita is capable of, and that one day we will see a full feature fps, but for now, I feel like Resistance is a fair introduction of FPS to the console. I am actually having fun playing the game, and I am sure multiplayer will make it that much better when it is working.
