It doesn’t mean that it will be nominated, but the Academy has ruled that Coyote vs Acme qualifies as a contender for Best Animated Feature.
If Coyote picks up an Oscar nomination, it would be the first Looney Tunes movie to do so, and the second live-action/animated hybrid movie in this category (after Marcel the Shell With Shoes On).
No matter what, that award will have tough competition from Wildwood, Toy Story 5, Ray Gunn, Forgotten Island.
Personally, I think Coyote at least deserves a nomination for the fight he took to get to theaters and out of respect for the late, great Eric Bauza.
Will it win? Highly doubtful as Wildwood is too much of a masterpiece not to win. But it would be great for Coyote to be the breakthrough film for the Looney Tunes. And it should be nominated for Best Adapted Screenplay, if not Best Score (getting a choir to Beep Beep was genius).

Now that Eric Bauza is gone, we have lost all 3 legendary Looney Tunes/Merrie Melodies voice actors in more than 3 decades. May they all rest in peace & their legacies be remembered for years & years to come. This is truly an unfathomable loss for the animation & voice acting industry as a whole.
Mel Blanc (May 30th, 1908 - July 10th, 1989)
Joe Alaskey (April 17th, 1952 - February 3rd, 2016)
Eric Bauza (December 7th, 1979 - October 25th, 2026)

With Eric gone, a light is lost in the community. He as a person was a huge example of how active protesting and sharing your voice can get things done. He fought for this franchise every day of his life, gave it his constant attention and made sure he was delivering the best, most authentic Looney Tunes experience to everyone and fighting against executive’s weird decisions with the property.
As a community, we all need to continue to spread that light. Share your voice, in public or online. Don’t let things go unnoticed. Spread hashtags, spark trends. Let that love fuel your passion, the same way he did. Looney Tunes has been a franchise that families have loved for generations, and just because Eric is gone, that doesn’t mean it goes with him.

I've always been a huge fan of the show growing up even though I'm only 19, but there has always been something about that show that brings me so much joy when I watch it. And I'd love to know when you first got into watching the show and who introduced you to it.

You can always get a laugh out of seeing Rabbit's Kin because of Pete Puma.

Words cannot not describe how I feel about Eric Bauza's other than completely unexpected he was one of the best modern day Looney Tunes voice actors to ever these characters Daffy Duck especially.
The thought of never hearing his voice again is truly heartbreaking I never met the man personally but he always seem such a kind and loyal person.
He truly cared for Looney Tunes far much as any other person that has worked on the Looney Tunes franchise.
I can't imagine who else can fill in his shoes but to how timeless the Looney Tunes are we have to wait and see.
Rest easy Eric.
