YU7 MAX

Hi everyone!

I recently imported a Xiaomi YU7 Max from China to Romania (Europe).

The car is running the Chinese software, and most of its features and services are designed for the Chinese market.
I’m trying to figure out how to download and use the Xiaomi EV app on my phone here in Europe, connect it to my car, and unlock all the available features.

One of my biggest issues is that my car is currently limited to a maximum speed of 100 km/h, and I suspect some features might be locked because the car hasn’t been properly activated or linked to a Xiaomi account.

Does anyone know:
Can I use the Xiaomi EV app in Europe with a Chinese-market YU7 Max?
How can I create or activate a Xiaomi account that works with the car without having a Chinese phone number?
Is there any way to remove the 100 km/h speed limitation?
Can I fully activate the car and unlock all its features while living outside China?
Has anyone successfully imported a Xiaomi YU7 or SU7 to Europe and managed to get everything working?
Any advice or experience would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks!

Not a support forum XIAOMI WATCH 5 - awful running experience

I'm in a weight loss journey, started the year on 115kg and currently I am down to 88kg only by increasing my physical activity and changing my eating habits. My Xiaomi Watch 5 has been the greatest ally, however I had a terrible experience today while running.

One day I had a black screen that read something like "Android corrupted" (I don't remember the exact words) and factory resetting did not fix it. When on the line with Xiaomi's technical support my watch magically fixed itself.

I live in a country that is not known to be the safest, and recently I bought a Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra (coming from an S23 Ultra). Since the very first day after changing phones my Xiaomi Watch 5 has been giving me some issues, having to factory reset it twice in order to link it to my new phone.

Given the safety record of my city, I decided I would start to run without my phone by downloading my running playlist to my watch (YouTube Music), and linking a pair of headphones (Galaxy Buds3 Pro) to it. THIS WAS A HUGE MESS.

From the beginning the music would pause itself, even though the watch showed it as playing, then YouTube Music crashed twice and didn't play the songs showing an error code. Then my run suddenly stopped (I use MiFitness) and the training load is shown as 0 after being 2.3km into it (HR and distance measured with no issue)

When I asked Gemini the answer I got was "ram collapse".

Has anyone experienced something like this? How do you fix it?

Discussion HyperOS 4 System Launcher rollback

Just updated System Launcher in Xiaomi GetApps and it fucked up my entire homescreen. HyperOS 4 got a larger net like 7x8 or something and now it got reduced to 5x8? It pushed all my apps and folders and widgets to other screens, I'm infuriated. How can I install the older version of the launcher, rollback? I am on the Chinese ROM.

I recently got myself the Xiaomi Redmi Note 15 Pro and I'm really quite happy with it. It's a solid entry level device and I like the extra battery capacity.

Discussion Xiaomi 17 Ultra questions about the camera

Hey guys,

I’m struggling with the camera processing on my new Xiaomi 17 Ultra and need some advice.

The phone often applies a aggressive digital oversharpening across all lenses, ruining natural textures.
On top of that, the zoom lens handles night scenes horribly—whenever there's a direct light source, it forces an incredibly ugly starburst effect that just looks like a mess of harsh, distracting lines. Not sure if this is due to the way the lens is built…

Is there a way to reduce the processing? Should I shoot in „UltraRAW“ thanks!

It‘s a bit sad as SOME photosturn out simply mindblowing, humiliating my iPhone 17 Pro Max.

News/Article Poco X8s Launches Globally

The new Poco X8s phone has now launched globally. Xiaomi website, GSM Arena article.

It’s an interesting phone, being the smallest of any Poco or Redmi with a 6.35” LTPO display, Snapdragon 7 Gen 4, metal frame, 6330mAh, 100W, 22.5W reverse, dual eSIM, Light Fusion 800 main camera (same as in F8 Pro), 50MP telephoto, 8MP ultra wide, 20MP selfie.

LTPO display, 1-120Hz refresh rate, is rare at this price point, and could potentially offer very strong battery life as well as excellent picture quality. With SD 7 Gen 4, 50MP telephoto and Light Fusion 800, I’d see it more as an all-round media and camera phone than a pure gaming machine.

Only listed pricing is USD – Early bird 8/256 $399, 12/512 $499

It runs Android 16 out the box, and while not stated, should qualify for 4OS upgrades and 6yrs of software updates as X8 Pro, and X8 Pro Max, but TBC.

It's on Xiaomi’s global website, but not as yet, on the few regional sites I checked.

Poco X8s vs X8 Pro: would you trade performance for a compact phone with a telephoto?

The X8s just launched globally. It has a 6.35" LTPO display, a Snapdragon 7 Gen 4, a 6330mAh battery, the Light Fusion 800 main camera and a 50MP telephoto, for $399 early bird.

The X8 Pro is cheaper and has a much faster chip, but it’s bigger and has no telephoto.

I’m leaning towards the X8s just for the size, since there are almost no small Android phones left with a decent battery and a zoom lens.

Which one would you pick, and why?

Discussion Is ximi13 cn rom still worth as a sub phone? (Mb for my bad eng)

(Dont know what flairs I have to use to ask) Just wanna ask since I main a phone that uses d8350 and in comparison w/sd8g2, both have similar performance. Tho one thing stands out for me is the size and aethetic since I mainly jog and holding a huge phone distracts me. Overall is it still worth today and keep it for 2-3 yrs? (That's all my budget, can't go w/14)

Discussion [Question] Redmi K90 (China ROM, HyperOS 4): FCM keeps disconnecting, WhatsApp/Discord/Gmail notifications delayed. Any fix without root?

Hi all, I have a Redmi K90 on the China ROM with the latest HyperOS 4, with Google Play services installed and signed in.

The problem: when the screen is off or the phone is in my pocket, I get no notifications from WhatsApp, and Discord and Gmail are also unreliable. When I unlock the phone or open the app, the messages and missed calls are all there. They just never arrived in real time.

I checked FCM Diagnostics, and it showed:

Server: Not connected (host mtalk.google.com, port 5228)

Disconnected for hours

Last close code: ERR_IO_FIN

The events log also shows "No response to broadcast" for Messenger. It has since reconnected, but I don't know why, and I'm worried it will drop again.

What I've tried:

Autostart on

Batter\*y saver set to No restrictions

Apps locked in Recents

Notification permissions allowed, including lock screen

I know some people posted fixes back on HyperOS 3. Do those still work on HyperOS 4, or has something changed?

My questions:

Why does the FCM connection keep dropping on China ROM phones?

Has anyone got reliable real-time notifications on HyperOS 4 without root?

Is the only fix to run ADB/Shizuku commands (appops / deviceidle whitelist) for Google Play services and the apps? If so, do they survive a reboot?

Is there a hidden setting for Google Play services that I'm missing?

Thanks! Happy to share more screenshots or logs

Discussion POCO F8 Pro vs POCO X8 Pro Max — which one to choose?

I'm torn between the two and don't know whether I should prioritize performance or battery life.

I'm interested in the F8 Pro because of the Snapdragon 8 Elite, better cameras (mainly the telephoto lens), and a more compact size.

On the other hand, the X8 Pro Max has an 8,500 mAh battery, much larger than the F8 Pro's 6,210 mAh, plus a larger screen and a bigger cooling system, which seems interesting for gaming and heavy use.

On the other hand, I don't know to what extent it's worth trading performance/cameras for this larger battery.

For those who know both: what are the most important differences in practice? And which one do you think makes the most sense for someone who wants to play games and keep the phone for several years?

Discussion Xiaomi 14 cannot record video at 60fps

I have a Xiaomi 14, and in pro mode, I select video and at the top I select 1080 . 60

but when I record the video, properties shows it recorded at 30fps.

Is there any fix for this? I tried my wife's Xiaomi 14 Ultra and it does in fact record at 60fps.

Discussion Upgrading from Vivo x300 pro to Xiaomi 17 ultra

Currently using the x300 pro cn, i really liked the overall performance and camera of this phone. But wanted to try a leica ultra flagship which the 17 ultra is best. My specific queries after narrowing down from a lot,

  1. Does the front camera of 17 ultra so awful in night? I really like the x300 pro front camera but skeptical about the 17 ultra front camera specially at night.

  2. How's the display quality of Xiaomi since it is lower resolution and the ppi count is poor. Is it not sharp enough?

  3. How's the battery backup of CN variant?

  4. How's the color profile of Leica Vivid compared to Zeiss vivid mode? Zeiss vivid mode brings very eye pleasing photos in auto mode, can it be compared to leica vivid?

  5. How's the latest HyperOS 4 and what improvement it brought in 17 ultra?

Anybody who used both the smartphones are requested to bring some valuable insights! 🙏

Discussion something restricted my WiFi plz give me way to fix it

Hey guys, I was just setting up my phone and some internal settings restricted YouTube from using my Wi-Fi. I’ve tried absolutely everything: checking the APN, changing the DNS, resetting network settings, and even doing a full factory reset. I’ve messed with the SIM carrier settings, Wi-Fi control, and every single option available, but nothing works. I just can't deal with it anymore.

Right now, YouTube is finally working on Wi-Fi, but the Wi-Fi toggle within the YouTube settings won't go back to normal. It’s completely greyed out. It shows that Wi-Fi is on, but I can't toggle it off or on manually. If you look at the YouTube network settings—the ones you access from the 'App Info' screen—you see four different options. In those four options, my Wi-Fi is completely stuck, and I can't turn it off. I don't know what else to do.

I have Xiaomi redmi note 13

Hi everyone!

I have a Xiaomi 13T and I'm having some issues with the stock camera app. Sometimes video recording feels stuttery, and the shutter can be slow to respond when I take a picture. I've also tried to delete the cache and also restoring the app but still having the same issues. Any advise or solutions ?

Discussion Redmi Note 13 Battery Issues

Hello everyone. My phone's battery has been spiking downwards, for comparison, it has a 50-55 degrees tilt angle . For context, I bought this phone 3 years ago. And this particular problem started happening about last week.

I've tried:

-Setting refresh rate to 60Hz

-Resetting Cache

-Turning off Always-on displays and stuff like that

- Lowering brightness

-Restarting my phone

Is this normal for a 3 years old phone? Is there any other ways I can try? And if there is, how can I do it?

Discussion Poco F7 Ultra Vs Poco F8 Ultra

I happen to have both devices currently. The F7 Ultra is for sale. If anyone is interested in real world comparisons between the two devices, please comment so I can provide the necessary feedback.
