The cycle of Nancy being egoist, bringing herself into trouble and lamenting is driving me crazy

Just started season 5. Somehow I like the show and cannot stop watching. However, I cannot really stand this endless circle of nancy behaving overly risky, getting into trouble and lamenting anymore. Now, she wants to send the boys to their aunt without taking their perspective into account.

Anybody having similar feelings?

Kind reagards

Bakery/Fakery

As a baker I have to share how my brain works. Every time an employee asks what a product we make is made of, I always have the same response. "Ground up white babies and nutmeg"? I giggle to myself every time over the reference that no one gets. But I figured you guys would appreciate. Thanks for being part of my dysfunctional life!

Question (Related to the TV show “Weeds”) Doug's racist bear shirt.

Does anyone know why Kevin Nealon/Doug Wilson wore that horribly racist shirt in so many episodes? When I first watched the show, years ago, I didnt know about the KKK using the letter K in regular media to 'secretly' show that they're part of the KKK. Now that I know that they do that, It drives me crazy that he wears that racist shirt in a LOT of episodes. The red shirt with the bear coming out of a tree stump on it that says Hungry KUNTRY buffet (the K is backwards). Its not like he wears it in 1 episode, he wears it in numerous episodes. Why? Why the racist shirt?

I am watching Weeds for the first time and Nancy sucks

I started watching it 10 days ago, am on S7 and with every season I realise what an absolute biatch Nancy is. The worst mother, an absolute narcissist and too stupid to realise how dumb most of her moves are.

She destroys everything she touches and everyone she sleeps with and everyone she doesn’t sleep with. A totally sh**ty character. She is the one who doesn’t have any remorse, guilt, shame or conscience. I think she is the one what hardened criminals become actually.

I am just not able to tolerate her anymore. How she manipulates everyone and the show’s writers should have done a better job at making people spread their legs for her coz how easily she gets off for her actions is so unreal. I mean have some consequences for them else it just feels totally fiction.

Can someone please tell me they have met or heard about someone in real life like her - a parent or a kid like her, a manipulative, destructive narc with psychopathic tendencies just so that I feel Nancy is a bit real and complete the series? Coz I have stopped watching it now coz of her character arc.

First Time Watcher!

I met someone recently who recommended Weeds to me. I literally reactivated my netflix account just to watch it. I have managed to binge watch it in 2 weeks and now I don’t know what to do with myself 🤣

Best show i’ve been addicted to in agessssss.

Love hate relationship for Nancy. The most annoying main character in possibly any show i’ve watched.

I’m a fan of Silas!

Love Loveeeee Doug and Andy!

I preferred the show back in Agrestic/ Regrestic whatever lol.

Season 6-8 went downhill. But still good!

The ending annoyed me though, I wanted a bit more out of it considering everything that happened.

I would have loved more context into who Nancy was prior to meeting Juda, like a throwback episode or something that went back to when her and Jill were teens.

First time watcher

Just finished the series. I'm so sad now. Haven't felt this way since finishing desperate housewives. Playing the theme song on repeat 😭 LITTLE BOXES MADE OF TICKY! TACKY! Ugh so sad. Wasn't ready for it to end. wasn't ready for them to grow up. I watched a season a day. What do I do with my life now?

What show do I watch now??

You know that episode of HIMYM

Where when one person points something out and then the other person can't unsee it. There's like a glass shattering sound when they realize the thing that annoys them

Well I'm about to do that for all of you but once you see it you won't unsee it

Silas's casual "open mouth" expression/ facial acting. I swear he does it in almost every scene and it drives me insane ! 😆 I'm so sorry. I love this show, & everyone in it. Just something I can't stop noticing.

We are years and years late to watching this series, but how good is Alanis playing the doctor? She’s very talented as an actor!

U-Turn is the Best Antagonist

I just got through seasons 1 - 3 (again). I hadn't seen the show in a few years. I think U-Turn's tenure as primary antagonist was cut short. He had a cartoonish intensity that was down right Shakespearean. As I'm working through season 4 I'm underwhelmed by Guillermo's evolution and I am reminded by how unfocused the whole Esteban thing becomes.

And of course we all must remember that thug means never having to say you're sorry.

The finale scene... I personally think they were really getting high

Always makes me teary eyed no matter how much I have seen it. You can look into their eyes and see that they are trying to hold back so hard from crying. Poor Shane was about to loose control. I think during one of the cuts, that joint got replaced with a real one, ( or maybe it was real all along ) you can see it in their eyes and their expressions if you look closely. Especially Nancy and Silas. I think it was more than just acting. It felt so real. You could tell the very second it started creeping up into her head, and then suddenly Silas is all totally cheesing. I wish I knew what they were actually saying, but I really believe that they celebrated the ending of the show with a real joint to keep them all from crying. Just watch, you can see it as it hits each of them. lol. If that's the case, I think that is such a perfect ending to such a perfect show, but man does that scene ALWAYS hit me in the feelings

I got to hand it to this chick. ( Jessica Chaffin ) She plays one hell of a junkie. So good that I have never been able to picture her, as anything but. After all of these years, I finally decided to look up and see who this chick is. She is surprisingly really pretty and put together ( as seen in the second photo ) it's so weird that, that is the same girl. Some people just do one hell of a job in costume, that you can't picture them any other way

One thing always disappointed me about The Valerie Scottson Arc....

I really like Valerie's character. I don't think we got enough of her. Her going through all that money crap could have been the perfect reason to keep her on for a bit longer. She could have joined Nancy's business, and eventually could have become antagnosic In other ways. anything, so many ways the story could have went. I just would have loved to see her in the show more. I like her Nancy's friendship and I absolutely love how Valerie gives ZERO F*cks and has no filter... Valerie is awesome. They could have taken her so many different directions, but they just dropped her, as fast as she appeared she was gone. I was really hoping they would have brought her back during the Timmy arc in the final season. very disappointing
