Last Nite (7) and Reptilia (138). Nothing from The New Abnormal is kinda crazy to me.

I mean, it’s just… wow.
I could listen to that tiny piece of a song all day long.

“The indie veterans are very much up for the fight as they deliver a deeply emotional career-spanning set during their first visit to the city in two decades.
Having drawn criticism online after their set was brought to an abrupt end the night prior in Newcastle, the band address the elephant in the room with a knowing wink as bassist Nikolai Fraiture introduces ‘deep cut’ ‘Last Nite’. “What the fuck is up, Manchester! This is the biggest show we’ve played on this tour, do you want an encore? This is our last song, wink wink and you might know it.”
It’s been anything but an easy ride to the top for The Strokes, and it’s understandable that the earned crown of being one of the world’s coolest bands has weighed heavy at times throughout their career, but tonight, there’s a hunger and defiance that suggests everything has clicked again. After all these years, they’re sounding more vital and more needed than ever before.”

At the end of dine and dash. Julian in some sort of sarcastic character voice says…” I Think that’s the minimum soft, and you can go harder if you want- but that’s the minimum soft.” It sounds like some sort of nonsense a certain producer would say. Is this a light hearted ‘diss of Rick Rubin??

Greetings disciples of Julian,
I recently created a music page on Instagram where I share recommendations from different artists I am listening to, my objective is to make the space feel less intimidating where casuals aren't gatekept through deep cuts but rather shown songs adjacent to what they already know.
I made a reel on the Strokes and have added the video and Instagram link here, I am sure everyone on here has heard all the songs I have listed numerous times but the percentages are relative to the general population since you're already in the 1% of Strokes fans.
Hope it resonates

This isn't really anything profound but I think I've grown to appreciate RA in a colder more autumnal setting more than in summer, it just fits more and I think it's not an album that benefited from been released in summer, it fits way more with darker months. Anyway that's it :)

Hello!!
I was lucky enough to attend The Strokes concert in Paris (my second time seeing them, the first was at Lollapalooza 2019). The setlist was incredible, I think I sang along to all 22 tracks from start to finish! I’ve never seen a band create such an intense atmosphere I’ve been to great shows by Coldplay, The Killers, Green Day, and Keane, but this was something else
I have two remarks though, maybe someone here has the answers or noticed the same ? ^^'
What’s the deal with the stage production? You couldn’t see a thing! Julian Casablancas was wearing a black coat and black sunglasses, and there was practically no lighting on the band
I had a good spot, but I still couldn’t see anything! xD Honestly, they could have sent out lookalikes, and no one would have known the difference
Also, regarding ticket availability: why didn’t they choose larger venues or perhaps add more dates? (20,000 seats is actually quite small!)
I had to buy my tickets on the resale market because I couldn’t get any during the presale or the general sale ... everything sold out in less than 5 minutes
By the way, it was great to see so many young people there! It’s also nice to see that they seem to be touring more often than they used to !
