Beautiful quartz vein
I was going to wrap it in a copper wire and try to sell it, but I don’t think I’ll ever find one of these again so I’m going to make it for myself

I keep a polished river rock on my desk and mess with it whenever I'm stuck on something at work. Kinda want to replace it with something more interesting. Looking for a stone with some texture, not too slippery, and durable enough to handle every day. I've been looking at jasper and mookaite but haven't decided yet.
Anyone else do this? What stones do you like? Also, does a matte finish hold up with constant handling?

Looking to identify this. The ring is 10k, but don't know what the gem is. The gem has some cloudiness and imperfections in the middle of it, but my phones photo probably couldn't get it

been experimenting with cold stones after my longer runs. keep a few smooth river rocks in the freezer, roll them under my feet and along my calves when I get back. the cold lasts longer than gel packs and the weight feels good against sore muscles. i figure the thermal mass helps, plus there's something grounding about actual stone versus plastic. curious if anyone else has tried this or has a setup that works better. also wondering if certain types hold cold longer, I've got granite and some kind of basalt I think, but haven't tested properly. my running group thinks I'm weird for this, but my recovery metrics look solid.

Hello guys. Could please identify these rocks, or at least try to? I have no idea what they are and i don't know anything about it.
They have been in the closet for 64 years, my grand grandpa had them.

Well, I was walking along and found a little sparkly stone. Based on my tests, it’s a cubic zirconia of about 3 carats. I know it’s essentially worthless—I mean, is it actually good for anything other than scratching glass?

started sleeping with a small stone under my pillow a couple weeks ago. my rest feels deeper and waking up is smoother. i've been measuring it with my usual setup and the numbers look better. has anyone else tried this or noticed similar effects?

I recently posted this asking if anyone knew the kind of stone. I took a much better photo of it. Any takers??? Inherited, stamped 925 Mexico. An Aunt married a wealthy business man from Torreon, Mexico and they had it made by a private jeweler there. I want to sell it...VERY HEAVY size 6 1/2. Thanks everyone!!❣️❣️❣️
